BUSHWACKING IN THE VALLEY OF THE SUN MAIN FORUM THREAD

BACK IN THE DAY VOTSCC HAD THE HONOR AND PLEASURE OF PLAYING OUR OWN VERSION OF CC vs CC MATCHES WITH SOME OF THE BEST AND BEST RUN CC"S IN WGT .

THE 1st 2 MATCHES WERE NOT POSTED IN THE WGT FORUMS . ALL THE REST WERE POSTED .

Time for another couple weeks of fun CC vs CC Interplay .
VOTSCC has challenged THE BUSWACKERS for a little fun in the SUN .
They have graciously accepted .
This will be our normal 2 round format . Match Play at Pebble Beach FR 9 & BK 9 .
The same opponents play the 2 rounds as separate rounds .
They can be played on separate days . Or back to back as separate rounds .
We will have a couple of weeks or so in which to play the 2 rounds .
In addition to our PC interplay . Once again we will have our Mobile squads join us to play VOTSCC Mobile Interplay # 2 . Concurrently .
This thread will be used by both CC's to inquire , discuss , post and comment , complain or whatever . throughout . And anyone else that wants to chime in .

Just for accuracy sake, I am only a legend in my own mind... Just a tour master here. My game is completely independent from who I play or what the voices in my head are saying. So no need to change anything unless you want to or not. Lets lace em up, swing hard, yell fore and hit it again!

We play and enjoy these Interplays very much . Always a good sporting time .
In the end we will have played some rounds , gained a few friends . And some more mates for future multiplater .

No worries Bingo . We can all relate . There is also often a tier or 2 or 3 difference in the opponents . Just have fun in your matches . Do what you can .

These interplay events are usually played in match play mode . Which helps a somewhat imbalanced match up in that the match could go either way . And they don't count for anything . Maybe a little pride .

. Again it is all for fun . If your not saturated . Close your eyes . Lol .

In these interplay events . Whatever the format is . Match or stroke , ? . The 2 opponents can see who they are on the roster above .

The 2 of them are responsible for doing what it takes to friend one another . Message each other .

Discuss each others availability .

Agree on a date and time to play at least one of the 2 matches they will be playing during the event .

Do their best to show up and play that first match .

Often times this does not happen .

That just means you have to do what it takes to have another discussion and agree on a new time to play the first match .

Play the match . Report the scores .

The above is the long way . And just describes the possible procedure .

Sometimes the first time you see each other green . BAM You're playing .

Set up a time for a second match .

I love the 2 round format . As opposed to 1 round . 1 round can be such a flash in the pan . 1 and done . Very impersonal . Almost not worth the time .

2 rounds ensures that these 2 lovers of the game . Have to actually interact and discuss and strategize their precious schedules . To set up and play 2 whole 9 hole rounds over a 2 week period at least .

Like I said sometimes it just happens . But it usually takes some good extra effort . to get through these events

If and when that all happens . It is usually incredibly satisfying , fun , worthwhile . And you have a new friend for multi player matches . Probably a couple few others from his or her CC too .

There have been several of these that have been lopsided score wise .
The People Club . Cool Citizens , Las Vegas Knights , etc . And a few we have won .
But in all of them . They have been completed . Been fun for most . Met new friends .
All of that means that these are successful to me .

Keith and I completed round 1 this morning. He took a early 2 stroke lead. Midway through the match we were tied. An eagle put him 2 up. That is how it finished.

I went 2 down early , got back to all square only to leave a tying putt 2 inches short. So close , but AJMack3 won 1 up

Just played a round there with fellow Scot Mikegooner. Now it was Best of Brandon in heavy winds. Birdie fest it wasn’t. Both our devices were playing up and as we started the 9th all square Mikes device froze. I finished off with a par but we have since been in touch and were gonna call that game just a warm up. Looking forward to the main event in the coming week.

Sean (DonaldKey) and I just played our matches....Sean won the F9 2 up and I won the B9 2 up, so we split. Sean's a great guy and I'm hoping to play with him sometime in the very near future. I enjoyed the heck out of this...thank you guys....Jim (JimQ916)

Hello everyone . This is the final place i feel I need to post an explanation .
There are some IRL circumstances that demand my complete attention at this time .
I will not be able to continue my daily routine at this time .
This has come on as sudden as it seems .
I apologize for my absence . Very hard for me .
I have asked my CC to carry on and Casey and all the players in this interplay to carry on as well .

Just played my fellow Scot Mikegooner. We both played well but unfortunately I missed about 4 x 5 footers and Mike ran out winner 33-35. Thoroughly enjoyed the match and playing 2nd round tomorrow.

Hey Paul. He was up then I was up I was up until I wasn't. I lost to Carlos in OT on the front 9. It was a good match. We're planning to play the back 9 Wed evening. I'll do my best to do us proud.

Just played my 2nd round with Mikegooner. Mike winning 30-33. Both played well but Mikes class showing on the greens. Looking forward to some more games with my fellow countryman.

Hello All,
Gilberto and I just finished our matches. We had a great time with two fun and interesting matches. On the front nine we tied after 9 holes. On the first extra hole Gilberto nailed a birdie putt after a great recovery from a drive in the rough. Nice win 1 up.
On the back 9 I jumped off to a quick 3 up lead. Then proceeded to self destruct while Gilberto played steady. I choked on a winning putt on 17 so to 18 1 up. We both birdied it and I staggered off with the 1 up win.
So a fun filled exciting split with a great competitor and new friend.

Well Paul,
This time I was not up at all and ended the back 9 two down. So that's me 1 down on the front ans down 2 on the back. Carlos was a good player and we were fairly evenly matched except for the losing part. He was a lot of fun to play with.

It feels so strange to be so far disconnected from all this , the CC , the CLASH , etc .

Keith and I just completed round 2.
We both started out rather flat. Both of us missing rather easy putts. Either of us really broke through to take a commanding lead.
We finished with me winning -4 to -3.
It was a lot of fun.

Had a great round with ozzieplayer . Found out that Gary is mostly a pc player but gracefully played a found on mobile. I Won the 1st by 5 shots. To make the contest fair I’ll go onto pc for the return round. . Thanks for the round til next time

Well Greg, I enjoyed our game as well! Silly glitches that we have on Mobil May have contributed to my demise on that first match. Lol.
We did play our 2nd and it was under good conditions so we went neck and neck, until Greg hit one in the water. He almost saw a miracle when his next shot lipped out.....incredible! That bogey, which he made, was the difference and I ended up with the W with a -4 to -3.
The best part of our matches was the conversation! He was a gentleman, funny, jovial, and simply enjoyable to engage with. I love how our creator brings us together.

Although I do believe that if I'm matched up with someone from another club, that they also should have some responsibility to try and contact me and not just rely on one person.
Again, I am sorry, I had no business ever saying I would take part in this event, mainly because I can not commit to any set time to play in any event. I play when I free time.

UGH ! is what i have to say about that .
it appears from a distance though that this tournament is running very well . With lots of accountable players .
Well done to both CC's .
Unless I am missing something . it appears that there is 4 more PC rounds to be played . And 1 mobile round that the players had agreed to play on PC . That score can still go on the mobile scorecard .
I think page 1 is up to date .
