This will be in a 2 round format like we did in interplay # 4 with TROUT SLAYERS .

At Pebble beach again . Match Play format

2 separate rounds . Can be played back to back but must be separate rounds . Can be played on different days . Up to the two of you and what your schedules allow .

We will use this thread as a common spot for both CC's to communicate , post scores , inquire , comment , etc .

I will keep the scorecard current .

Well Brad got me again on the back nine. But I managed to shave a stroke off of it. Great fun though great guy . Have a nice vacation Brad.

Hi there Paul.
I played Deborah (olx1900) just now and she got me three up on both F & B. I thought perhaps my playing the front with starter balls was the problem. As it turns out to no surprise I can't putt for crap. The back 9 was much closer despite the score...

i played both my matches with John who is not a duffer.
John ran into buzzsaw in game 1 as i was -6 after 7 when the match ended with a 3 & 2 win for S&W.
game 2 started off similar when i made putts of 20 ft to bird 10 and 12 before a 3rd birdie at 15 was enough to win 3 & 2
John represented his cc well and his fellow members should be proud of his efforts

IDK if all the match ups are communicating . But I think there is more behind the scenes communication than we know . We are usually the last to know . Lol .
If the tournament needs to be extended to accommodate the schedules . That is fine and common .

My opponent, Dschom5 and I can't seem to hook up.
He is only available during the day and after 11 at night. I've tried to stay online late to catch him but we have been unable to hook up. I was online last night until WGT shut down the site at midnight but never got an invite.
I'm not sure what the deadlines are but we seem to be having problems getting a game in.

I am going to suggest that we all keep trying through the weekend . We can discuss this again on Monday . If by then all efforts have been exhausted . Then perhaps we can try switching match ups or whatever . Sound reasonable ?

IMHO efforts are being made by all . It is no secret that invites are a very difficult and frustrating task here in WGT .

Almost daily I can just barely miss an invite . And sometimes spend the next 5 to 10 minutes PMing that player frantically trying to convey that yes I am available . Go ahead and retry .
Maybe the next day get a reply . Sorry Paul maybe next time .
And umpteen more scenarios .

Our members are probably communicating much more than it seems )
I agree, of course, to extending the tournament if need be.
Time differences can really be a biatch in these things, so let's just roll with it.
On the plus side, new friendships have been forged, which is what these are all about, and that can never be a bad thing.

Managed to beat dschom5 in a really good match. He drained a 40 footer on the first hole, I was lucky enough to eagle the second and the match was back and forth after that. I won the 7th hole and he tied it on the 9th, I managed to win on the 11th hole.
We hope to get the second nine done later this weekend.

Even though Lefty will be returning at some point . I haven't had any luck finding a replacement to play berti for this event . MGRoza has offered . But he has already played . I have been hoping to find someone new .

There have been two replacements . MG has replaced Lefty . Even though he has already played .

As far as I'm aware these are all yet to be played, but I believe times/dates have been set, so they will happen.
I would like them to be played ... if only for the feeling of finalization (if that's a word, lol), but unlikely the results will have much impact on the outcome.
Apart from the obligatory hiccups you get with this type of tournament, I'd say it's been highly successful in many different ways, with new friendships being made, and mostly very positive feedback from all involved.
I have to admit I didn't think we would win quite so convincingly, but that's really not important to me, however, I am, of course, very proud of my team )
I would like to thank you Paul, for all the work you put in to assure it all ran smoothly as possible, and I know, win or lose, you are also very proud of your team ... as you should be. You have a very fine bunch of genuinely nice people, and this engagement has been an absolute pleasure.
Maybe, in time, we can organize another down the track.
My compliments to you and your great CC, and may the Sun always be with you.

Yes Rob I also encourage any matches that are in the works to continue as they have them planned . If and when they report the scores I will record them . I also just hope they play .

For all other intents and purposes we can call this a GR8 and successful and complete event .
It has been an honor to finally meet some of your excellent S & W crew Rob .
I am sure we will be able to play another event in the future . And we we all have some more multiplayer partners .

I'm still waiting to get my second round match in. Been available pretty much for the past week and can't seem to get it done.
Dan was out of town over the holiday so we are hoping to get the match done this week.
