Welcome to the 5th VOTSCC weekly bulletin. Yip, its somehow lasted more than a month. Thanks for all the positive feedback over the last 4 weeks. For this to keep  working we need to keep  responding to the poll, quiz, music artists and even the 19th hole section. All requests and answers are extremely appreciated. Anyway, lets crack on.
This week saw the continuation of our CC v CC clash against Bad Moon Rising. All the hard work Paul has put in seems to be paying off with more than half the ties already completed, and as it stands just now it looks like were in for a comprehensive victory. In fact, when I visited the BMRs home page I'm pretty sure I spotted a white flag waving in the background. Well done to all those that have played their matches, won, lost or drawn and best of luck to those that have still to play.

This week also saw another one of our best loved members Nansting17 have her account suspended once again through no fault of her own just like 4 other members we had. Don't really know the ins and outs of this and don't want to go into it to much here but Paul and Jim have sent strongly worded emails to the powers that be so we wait on their reply. Though don't hold your breath. Heres hoping some common sense prevails.
This weeks TWTW4 Turd Drops one in Congress tournament was unsurprisingly won by Dschom5 {Turd} with a score of 25. More on than to follow but congratulations to Turd and the other 16 participants.

INS AND OUTS-- No ins this week and 3 outs. Deadfreight, Cthamos71 and unfortunately Kotyskelly.

ACHIEVEMENTS-- DirtyDuffer reached Level 70 and ChuckD8 reached Level 50. SeeRizz moved up to Master Tier. Macmanred hit 100000 points. Jtcooki 300000 points. Wishman51 400000 points, and Robmurphy4 700000 points. Well done to all.

ROUND OF THE WEEK-- Can only go to one man. Shooting an 11 under 25 in his own tournament. That's 2 eagles and 7 birdies in 9 holes. Amazing Turd although its not the perfect round. I mean, no holes in 1 at the par 3s. Still room for improvement Turd. Lol.

SHOTS OF THE WEEK-- After having to leave a few shots out last week because there was to many, this week there is only 2. Yes 2. Whats going on?
DirtyDuffer 64yds at Merion.
And shot of the week goes to CoryGRobinsons HIO at the 17th on Pebble Beach. Unfortunately no replay as Cory plays mainly on mobile but to hit a HIO at the difficult 17th is no mean achievement. Well done Cory.

MEMBER V MEMBER-- Pdb1 defeated Nansting17 in a 9 hole matchplay and Mca19670 defeated Textor in a 9 hole stroke play match. If there were any other matches between members especially on mobile feel free to post the result below. Mobile matches do not show up in my news feed unfortunately.

BULLETIN 5 Th3V0A6FHY_zpszhjskxi1The worlds first ever golf tournament for women was held on New Years Day in 1811 in Musselburgh, Scotland.

BULLETIN 5 ThON79LAXX_zpsh09ty1zdIf you are caught on a golf course during a storm and are afraid of lightning, hold up a 1 iron. Not even God can hit a 1 iron. Lee Trevino.
This is an oldie but still seriously funny. Genius.

MCA19670 QUEST FOR A HOLE IN ONE-5 WORD REPORT
Well theres always next  week.

   JIMS JOKE OF THE WEEK.
Whats the difference between a dog barking on the front porch and a woman hollering on the back porch.
If you let them both in, the dog will stop barking.

   AND ONE FOR THE LADIES.
What do you call a man whos lost 90% of his intelligence.
Divorced.

THIS DAY IN HISTORY-- 1882. The American outlaw Jesse James is shot in the back and killed by fellow gang member Bob Ford.

BULLETIN 5 ThYN71JDIA_zpshpqflg9jSPONSORED BY DONOTGOOGLEIT.COM.

1.RULES OF GOLF--True or False-- A tee must not be longer than 4 inches.

2.HISTORY OF GOLF-- Whats the only grand slam event Lee Trevino never won.

3.WHO AM I-- I was born in 1970 in West Chester Pennsylvania. I have 27 professional wins to my name and 1 Major. My caddy who ive been with since 1999, was Tiger Woods caddy for Tigers first 2 years as a professional.

BULLETIN 5 ThPPG9JYJ2_zpsbgv1yd1bPOLL-- Seeing as its Masters week thought I would ask about this weeks event. Is Dustin Johnson a cert to be wearing the green jacket come Sunday. Maybes Aye or Maybes Naw. If your answers Maybes Naw then let us know who you think will win it. Lets have some fun and see who can tip the winner.
Last weeks poll, Erin Hills. Does it have potential to be a favourite course on WGT. Result. 6 Maybes Aye and 1 50/50.
DufferJohn7 was a Clapton fanatic in the days he had long hair {John, not Clapton} and asked for a bit of the guitar maestro. Hope this takes you back John.

BULLETIN 5 ThMWDF353J_zpse02c12r6REFRESHMENT OF THE WEEK.
Theres 2 members buying this week folks so form an orderly queue. Jtcooki and Textor are handing out Islay Scotch Laphroaig up at the bar as we read this. The most richly flavoured of all Scotch whiskies. Cheers you two.
That's it for another week folks. Could be a busy next few days with the CC v CC clash nearing an end and no doubt there will be another clash come Thursday. So I'm away to take a break and will let Hamish McTavish let you all know the name of next weeks tournaments and its conditions.

BULLETIN 5 It2019s-all-about-the-tartan_zpsu62qzywhRight laddies and lassies. This weeks tourney is called And Here's 2 U Mr.Robinson. The back 9 at yon beach course oer the water. Default tees, wee bit blowy and very fast greens. Noo beat it.

I believe you've got the format nailed, Martin. It's an enjoyable read.
You could have told everyone that, on the last hole, I left my par putt on the lip, defying gravity, giving you a win. It was a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to the rematch. After all, there's this trophy I covet.
I'll have to finish up later. The Laphroaig is starting it's magic.
    Cheers,

Another good bulletin Martin, I say maybe naw on Dustin Johnson, I'm pulling for old Lefty to win another green jacket, always been a fan of Phil, True, on the tee question, and Lee Trevino never won the masters.  Don't know the third one. Thanks for the mention in the bulletin.

    Martin,
Another fine publication, wonder if there is a WGT Pulitzer in your future.
Well a bit of Clapton, a bit of mother nature and I couldn't break par on Merion tonight.  But I smiled all the way through it.  Thanks man, it was far out.
Maybe naw on the Masters even though I really have no clue.  Like Turd I'd enjoy one of the guys have have been around a few times to win, keep those young guns at bay.
The trivia quiz is good for my education, not good for my knowledge, LOL.  But now guys born the year I graduated college are trivia answers????? Real far out man, quite a downer.
OK I'm going to walk right in, around the back, about a mile from the railroad track
    Peace,
    John
PS: You youngsters ask the white haired folk here and they'll tell you where I'm going.

Right I must be a maybes NAW for the poll because I've just put my money on Rory or Justin Rose to bring the green jacket back again to these shores. Drinks are on me at the 19th if any of these two win it.

    Nice Martin!
I can smell the Peet smokiness of my neatly poured Laphroaig calling me. Glad to hear Textor is a fellow member and connoisseur of that finely distilled Scotch!

Ah well, looks like the answer to the poll-- Is Dustin Johnson a cert to be wearing the green jacket on Sunday is a definite Maybes Naw. He's withdrew from the tournament.

It's going to be a beautiful day at the Masters. There are several really good pairings, which will be fun to watch, even as we keep an eye on the Leaderboard. There are 15 to 20 players who will wake up this morning believing they have a real chance to take the green jacket. With 70 degree temperatures, lite winds, and a compact field, Augusta will surrender a lot of birdies and eagles. It'll be fun.
Can Rory keep it in the fairway? Has Jordan overcome his 2016 demons? Will Fred and Phil belie their age? Is it Sergio's time? Can Rickie, Thomas Pieters, or Jon Rahm overcome the mystique of experience. There's Justin Rose, Adam Scott, Ryan Moore, and Thursday's leader Charley Hoffman. Anyone of these guys is capable. I can't wait!
    The par 3 challenge:
    1. Yes
    2. The Masters
    3. Jim Furyk

Yes it's shaping up nicely Textor. Would love to see Garcia win it to be honest. As for the par 3 challenge. Congratulations, you just got a solid par.

It'll be a great story if Sergio wins. Can he reverse his previous third round performances at Augusta? I like Rickie, but I don't know if he's ready. I think Jordan Spieth will win it. One could see his confidence emerge after making bird on 18 yesterday, finishing 36 at even par, 4 back. Can you believe he made a 9 on 15 Thursday.

Get your checkbook ready, Martin. We'll all be lining up. It'll require a Gold Medal performance, though.
Today's Masters was fun. Tomorrow is going to be a battle. We should expect to see someone make their move on the front 9, forcing the others to aim at the pins coming in. It's going to be intense.

Another Home Run Martin....a great read. I'm lost with the questions but I'll have a go at it the 1st 1 and say no, it can be longer than 4 inches.I'm temped to google the other 2 but that would take away the spirit of the quizzes. I'm looking forward to #6. Robin Williams was classic also...Jim
