THIS THREAD EXPLAINS WHAT OUR CC IS ABOUT . LISTS ALL,OF OUR EVENTS . AND INTRODUCES OUR DIRECTORS

All of this will only work if you all continue to post your greetings to the new players as well .

Please continue to do so .

Nobody likes to be told what to . I know that and have for a very long time . That's why I don't do that . What I do is inform you of certain conditions , requirements and protocol of the way things work best around here in VOTSCC . And I am very big on saying please and thank you .

The registration just to join the CC is very easy . There are a few steps that you would have to agree are reasonable before you did them . I will suggest that you complete the registration politely several times before I get the message that you don't agree . Then I will remove you .

Once you have fulfilled the easy first steps or close to it . You will be a full member . That could take up to 4 to 6 weeks if I see you are taking an interest .

When you become a full member . I will basically leave you alone . As long as you make some small effort to be a visible happy member . Simply by making a remark or a post from time to time . Just playing CC tourneys is not enough here in VOTSCC .

Of course you would have to agree to that as well and voluntarily comply with our very easy protocol in order for that to work .

There are a few other things that I / we would ask that all members do .

One is to respond and welcome all new recruits . And the same as they become full members .

Another is to stay aware of current affairs . By reading this forum . We just had another custom tournament spoiled because players obviously did not read this forum or even the name of the tournament and played with regular equipment . Instead of like the name of the tournament implied and a couple forum posts explained . It was to be played with starter equipment and balls . We will not be trying that again anytime soon .

There should not be more than 2 bracket tourneys running at the same time A stroke and a CTTH . Both free to enter . As a member . If you see one of those brackets is struggling to fill . Unless you are completely anti bracket . Which is okay to be . Then please step up to help fill the bracket .

These things above and many more should go without saying . I don't want to have to speak up and post and beg for things to run right . I have seen first hand here in the past that it is not necessary . Everything just runs right when we all agree to make that happen .
I spell things out the way i do for everyones benefit . Especially for those who are not clear or have never been in a CC before . The things that we ask are trimmed down and scaled down to be the minimal they can in order for this CC not to stagnate and disappear into oblivion . Lol . Right ?

  Just to spell out the registration process for you . In the last almost 3 years . I have found many things that proved to be consistent things that help more when things are running well . and things that don't work so well . The conditions below are very easy and when everyone works and agrees to them to get those dealt with . My job is made a lot easier . And everything else just falls into place . I know it seems different for most of you but I ask you to trust that the results are a beginning to a very smooth well run enjoyable experience . Probably unlike most thought was possible in a CC .
  When you come in . I post your CC Forum welcome here . I copy a link to it and post it in your profile welcome . Eventually these guys will respond to your welcome here . Eventually you will respond to your welcome here . It's how we all shake hands . Get that down home feeling . Lol . maybe not . Maybe get your first name . Mostly on a first name basis here .
  Your profile welcome mentions the rest of the basics that are necessary to get started on just to be here .
    You and I must have some sort of a rapport . I don't need to chat with you . But I may need to ask you something now and then .
    Friending all other members at your convenience . No big deal . No pressure .
    Start playing some CC tourneys . This is a big one Being in a CC means making the effort and doing CC things with and for the group that is the CC . Tourneys are a big part of that Entering the formats that suit you . We have no No minimums . Just play some . Whatever fits your schedule .You will get a KICK ASS participation award . When you start playing . And various other accolades and rewards and trophies for your achievements .
  We have a website . It is very cool . It has a lot of information about all kinds of things . There are many forums , with many sub forums and topics inside of them . There is a  chat , tutorials , information , replays , hall of fames , matches , tourneys , more information .
  I use it to keep stats , records , scorecards , scores results , personal bests , trophies , events , tournies , etc .
  It is harmless . I pay to not have any spam or advertising that would bother anyone .
  Unfortunately it is unused . And a virtual ghost town at this point .
  But it is part of the CC and i need every member to register there with your WGT username . You are not required to use it . But it is yours too . To use or not as it has many cool features .

  When you register you will receive a club logo . Which is optional , up to you . If you do use it . It can have any name you wish on it .

    All of the above is all it takes to register and be a full member . Talk to me , Play CC tourneys , Friend members , Register in the website . Very simple .
  Also on your profile welcome . There is a link to our guidelines . Please read those . The above is just the beginning . The guidelines are just the basics . I mention that there will be other things that will come up that may require you to step up and be a strong member .
  CC XP's are not a thing here . Not required at all . If you are into them . Go for it . If you are not . I suggest you try to use your free passes efficiently . You will get a recognition trophy for all of everything you do at each 100,000 point mark .
  CC Bracket tourneys . There is at this time a continual stroke bracket going all the time . We are on our 79th in a row . We just started our CTTH's back up . They went 39 in a row . Previously .
    We have several good tourney makers . You can make some too . JimQ916 is our awesome Tournament Director . Please friend Jim first . He will be posting in our CC forum . Every tournament , who has entered , who has and has not played their rounds , how much time is left in the round . he also has occasions when he must PM you . Please be mindful of the possibility and respond accordingly .
  There is a daily BLITZ Mon thru Fri .
  A 2 course CTTH SKILLS CHALLENGE . Every 72 hours .
  2 different Stoke Play in CC titles . And 2 different in CC Match Play titles . To be challenged by anyone . Challenge the title holder and win and sport the title on your wall until some beats you for it .
  We also host CC vs CC interplay matches . Where we challenge other CC's to a somewhat matched up to 16 player roster in a match play event . We are in our 7th one right now . LIVE AND LET GOLF IN THE VOTS
  All of this and more is why we feel that a little connection and pride and ownership and presence is the least we all can do and show . To appreciate and enjoy our experience here at WGT in this CC VOTSCC .
  I must also mention . The WGT CLASHES . Are not a required event . Some of us enjoy them . So much that all but 2 times we finished in the top 50 . Several times in the top 25 . The last 3 CLASHES in the top 15 .

What is a WGT CC

There are as many agendas as there are WGT CC's . The commonalities are few . Mainly a place where a group of players gather for many reasons . Mostly to benefit from the availability of specific features offered in the CC's agenda .

Whether it be monetary , skills , entertainment , enjoyment . One can excel with the customized events featured .

There are some very hard nosed CC's . That require stringent registration and membership commitments . Like minimums of CC and multiplayer events required each week or month , entry into premium tournaments . Required use of CC XP pass on a daily basis . And many more things that fit into some CC's agendas .

Many seek this type of CC and are very happy with them .

Some require nothing at all . Once a recruit . You will remain a recruit forever . There will be no information on how to improve , tier up , differences in various equipment , how to lower your average . If any , a small selection of tournaments usually not accommodating to your tier level . No CC forum to speak of to inquire and receive information .

WGT includes a CC forum with every CC to be utilized for the purposes of communicating information and important details for many different things .

VOTSCC would like to be open to all tiers . Accepting and supporting . Teaching and improving any and all areas any member so desires . The availability of a variety of formats for all tiers . In the ultimate environment to take the time get the information and do the work needed to let one be the best they can be here in WGT . That is just the basics and beginning of what VOTSCC would like to provide .

On top of all that . Being a fully involved group with accessible members . That are friendly and helpful and supportive of all team mates . Available as friends to PM to inquire , or set up matches . A conscious effort to be green at times often to invite and accept invitations from other CC members . All of which takes effort from any who enjoy this type of format . It will not just happen at a whim . Concerted efforts by many must be consistent for this to be a reality .

Efforts at all times to help to fill brackets . By those who enjoy brackets . Not just sometimes . Because that causes stagnation and frustration .

Entry into CC tourneys made for your tier level . High participation makes them more fun and worthwhile . Members friendily and competitively pushing other members as team mates to help us all to improve to our very best . Cheering and congratulating all along the way .

These CC tourneys are the ultimate practice rounds that actually count . Created so that if you are not liking the way the round is going . You do not complete the round . But rather restart from the menu and try it again then or try it again later . When you finally get a score that you like . You finish the round and is the only round that counts . In these single player unlimited play rounds . Any incomplete round does not count against your average . Or against your game completion average . GC% . But they do count against you in multiplayer ranked rounds .

The CC environment is the best place to prepare oneself to challenge other WGT players in multiplayer stroke play ranked rounds . To hone your skills to get the confidence to create or join a game in the game client and kick ass .

There are other skill based formats in VOTSCC . BLITZES and CTTH's that are fun and challenging and very beneficial to your game play .

There are 4 in CC for VOTSCC players only challenge competitions . 2 stroke play and 2 match play . " The Magic Star " stroke . " The King " match . " The Golden Dragon " stroke .
" The Royal Moon " match . Where at any time any member challenges the title holder to a 9 hole round . Stating at the start of the match that they are challenging for the title . If you win . You sport the title on your wall until someone takes it from you .

All of this . And so much more . Is why the very easy conditions that are asked to join . Make it so worth while .

This CC is awesome and different and we have had various periods of GR8 success . And various periods of slowness . But we never give up .

Very happy and proud to have every one of you part of this GR8 CC .

CC BRACKET TOURNEYS :
I WANT TO PUT THIS SOMEWHERE IT WILL BE SEEN BY ALL . IF I HAD THE ABILITY TO GROUP MESSAGE I WOULD BE DOING THAT . I STOPPED SENDING THEM ONE AT A TIME OVER A YEAR AGO .
CC Bracket Tournaments are a single play event . Same as WGT Bracket Tournaments .
The difference is in CC Bracket tournaments . One is accountable for their entry .
Single play CC Bracket Tournaments are a higher level of game play . A more serious format . A higher level of commitment because they are single play . And the field is limited to 16 players that understand this commitment and the rules of the format .
Each player knows this prior to their entry in his event . That they are committed to each round . To complete each round and record a score . The player matched up with your name also has the same commitment . You can not decide mid round that the opponent is having a better round . If you show up for your round . the option to not complete the round is not possible . If this is not agreeable to you . Do not sign up for our bracket tourneys .
This is especially important in the first round . If the clock in the round is still ticking . And you show a WD . That means that you started playing your round and QUIT before completing it . That is not acceptable and gives your match up a bye . And they likely had a worse round than you . But they stepped up and completed their round respectfully .
That is how it works here . No big deal . Just takes a commitment to finish your round .
If you miss your round . That is a different story . Shyt happens . We will give you the benefit of the doubt that if you could have been there you would have . And you would have completed your round .

BTW i have the ability to group message in the website . Unfortunately the target audience for this message has not registered in the website and would not receive them .

For those of you that are not clear about the difference between our WGT CC , WGT CC Forum And our Awesome Bonus Website .
Our focus at this point in time is almost entirely here in this WGT CC / WGT CC Forum .
Everything I / we talk about and do is of and about trying to build and improve and maintain all this WGT stuff .
The website https://www.valleyofthesuncc.com/ . I created . Is an incredible website / forum that has many things to offer that are user friendly with options not available in WGT .
The original plan was to try and incorporate some of that cool stuff into our CC . ( long story ) . It became obvious that that was going to be a battle that I / we were not ready for .
It would have had to have been a completely voluntary and cooperative effort by all . That proved to be something bigger and harder than we / our members were willing to undertake . I wasn't about to try and demand and make members to comply .
The CC was very active when I first introduced the website . Within a couple months I started to host a series of 20 multi player week end tournaments called " THE VALLEY OF THE SUN KICK ASS TOURS WEEK END FUN IN THE SUN " . Through http://challonge.com/ . A website that provides auto generated brackets for all kinds of sports . And was the original reason it was necessary for everyone to register in the site with their WGT username .http://challonge.com/ and WGT have a common link through the usernames for Challonge invites and emails . Very convenient .
These tournaments were a tough format for some to follow . But we still pulled them off successfully for several months in the first half of 2015
These brackets were played in our website in the live embedded brackets . With the use of our chat room in the website . All participants could see the brackets as they changed rounds and match ups until the finals . And a Supreme Champion would be named .

After a good run . The tournaments came to a screeching halt when the WGT " invisilble invite " glitch overtook us and made it impossible to invite or receive invites for many players .
After that the website and it's activity slowed considerably . Until virtually no one to speak of ever came there for chatting in the chat room . Which was and still could be a very good place to stop in and see who was there , leave a message to someone or anyone . That you were going to be on and wanting to play . The chatroom was a place you could click to in a second no matter what you were doing . You could be playing a round and just click over to it . See some one you knew or wanted to play a match with ( usually by chance I admit ) . But when it was more active . it was more likely to happen .
I tried to encourage and promote the site and all it GR8 features . But it became evident that it was too much to ask . That it was probably enough to get our WGT CC to be active . The website was a whole different commitment . And was not going to happen .
That was a tough pill for me to swallow . I had put a considerable amount of work into the venture . I had no choice but to back away and put those plans on the back burner .
That was fine . Because just keeping a WGT CC together is a very difficult job in itself .
So to this day . Even though the website is still full of very helpful information . And is still a part of this CC . It is only a bonus and available to our CC members , members from other CC's , members not belonging to CC's , and some that don't even belong to WGT .
It is not required to use it .
Some of us still use it to record our Desert BLITZ scores .A successful format I created in the website .
I do use it for the recording of stats , records , wins , scorecards , personal bests , trophies , tutorials , how to's . Related to every player and tons of stuff that comes from all over the place .
So now I ask and require that all CC members only register there with their WGT username for my purposes and needs for the WGT CC .
After a one time registration there . Nothing else is required of you there . It is totally up to you whether you visit it or utilize any of it .

  Here we can talk about and set up our multi player matches . I am still trying to generate more interest in those matches . I just want to ask that you play 1 or 2 now and then . With a CC mate or 2 or 3 .
  Especially if you haven't tried them before or only have a couple few under your belt .
  Not trying to change the formats that you like . Only to add this and on occasion play this .
  They are so much fun . They are ice breakers . And it is so comfortable and rewarding getting to know your CC mates a little better .
  The alt shot and match play rounds are completely social . As they can never count in any way ( with the exception of scored match play rounds won by a lower tier , those rounds count in that the lower tier winner gets a couple points shaved off their average ) . Other than that the alt shot and match play rounds are just plain fun .
  The stroke play matches do count . But if i am playing with CC members I have yet to be able to stop talking . And pay attention to any serious game play .
  Yesterday I got an invite from Kelly . We played a GR8 match play round . So much fun .
  Today I got an invite from wishman51 Andrew , And deadfreight Steve joined us for a stroke play match . As has happened the last 3 times I have played Andrew there has been a disconnect on the first hole and everybody comes back except Andrew . IDK what's up with that ? But Steve and i played on and finally met and chatted and the game flew right by . A lot of fun . It was GR8 finally meeting and playing a match with Steve .
  I also met a guy the other day in an alt shot match . Another CC owner named UFCJohny . CC is called Arnies Army . That's all I know about that . But he has been trying to challenge me to a BLITZ tracked round . The first 2 times I disconnected . In those it's game over . And you don't want too many of those or your completion icon turns to average and then poor completion colors . ( whatever colors those are I think orange and yellow IDK i'm colorblind . green is good .)
  Well we finally completed one today . And i whooped him .
