The full Sirana plot is completed at 181K words (718 pages in my Word doc, but I'm using a larger font than 2 years ago because... you know, aging eyes.)
I only have the Sivaraus scenes to complete, so as promised, it is time!
But as she refined and finished this at the same time I finally completed the story, I realized... this is not just any Hellhound.
This is Kreshel Divigna, known around the land as the Eternal Hellhound. Stories of his exploits have been spreading for about a century.
We last saw him at the end of Book 8, "The Battle for Manalar," but he didn't make a visible impact on the story.
Needless to say for the Rematch in Book 10, he's still there. ^_^ Waiting. And boy-howdy, does he make an impact here!
She cracked open the file, knowing the paperback cover was going to be coming soon, and was like, "I have new skills! Lemme take another stab at it!"
Ohhh, lordie. O.O Aw, yeah!
First, we have a concept for the back of the paperback already! ^_^ A nice mirror/echo to a couple other books, but I'll wait until it's finished.
But the ebook cover... the main changes were some background clean-up that's subtle but nice to have done (royalty-free landscape stock photos often have little tiny things in the background that don't fit a fantasy setting. ^_^*), improving the backlighting for the figure so he's not covered in so much shadow and making him POP (so excited! Eris is the mistress of lighting and color!), refining the subtle depths of the chain and the body as a whole, and lastly...
Oh, she had some fun with those magical tattoos! :D I thought the original was fine, it got the point across (some tattoos were lit up and others weren't). We went with some tribal tattoos and kept it simple.
Except Divigna's existence isn't simple, and the fact that she not only shifted from tribal tats to something that suggests an anatomy and/or chakra chart is just... Augh! So good for the story! XD
Not only that, but the energy is so much MOAR! He's not just doing one or two magicky things. This is probably when the music starts singing in Latin! XD
But man, I love this cover. ^_^ It's overall rare that there's a villain featured in Sister Seekers, but after you've read the books, you'll understand why.
Onward to that new book release!
