My question is . Can a topic be hidden from members ? What is a locked topic ? Who can view what ? Being admin I am not privy to what a user sees . Not sure if I can create a forum or category or topic that can be hidden from view by all except myself . Is this possible . Will appreciate any help . Thank you very much .

1. Can a topic be hidden from members ? Yes, by setting the right permissions in the ACP for the forums.
2. What is a locked topic ? A topic locked by administrators. Nobody can post after it has been locked, but the topic or posts can be edited and moved even afterwards.
3. Who can view what ? Usually the security settings on each and every forum will give you insight in that if you've got admin level permissions to be able to view them. You could make a simple user account to test what a user 'sees'.
4. Usually by setting the privileges to forums so that certain user groups or staff members have permissions to view, create, delete or modify posts & topics in them. You cannot set permissions on a category. You cannot set permissions on individual posts or topics, but you could lock them or move them into a section (forum) where nobody can access or modify them except for certain groups or staff members.
