Hi . You have no doubt seen my letters and messages regarding lack of interest , participation , friending , playing CC members and ignoring me .
You are one of those that I feel needs to step up a little .
Everything else on the list I could live with .
But ignoring me is like biting the hand that feeds you .
Myself and several others that also put a lot of time into providing you an xlnt way to be on top your game . Deserve more presence and acknowledgement and participation from you .

to friend and play other CC members
to respond if I ask you to

Are all going to be required .
If you think you can do those little things . Then please respond . If you do not respond . I will take that as a no . And regretfully remove you from the CC . This will be a big blow to everyone . You and the CC will lose all the XP points you worked so hard for . And put a big dent in the progress of others that have worked as hard . I / we hope very much you will stay .

I don't really know and I don;t really care but I thought you guys might like to see it . If someone asked me what or how many points someone should receive per day . I would say should is the wrong word . But 500 points per day would be more than enough . In fact if the smallest contributors could average 500 per day . That would put us way inside the top 50 . The top guys are probably doing 1000 to 2000 per day . Those big averages bring the rest of us up to approximately 525 points average per member per day . We would have to average more like 600 per day to hit the top 50 . Again I am not saying to anyone to do anything more . Seriously . I just happened to do the numbers . I am in no hurry . I am confident that it will happen some day .

Do you see the way I see it ? Those points are nothing but a crock and another cash cow for WGT . They sucker thousands of people to purchase the $ .37 cent passes all day long . The top 50 spots are only that . top 50 CC's that bought enough passes to prove they can spend enough to be the top 50 dumbasses . Lol . But Jim there are a few that do it mostly without having to spend a bunch . We are one of them and if we did keep going like this we would be there one day . Still there are no rewards for being there . CC's didn't get there for winning more tourneys , or having lower scores , or making more HIO's or anything golf related . I feel the same way as many others . Mostly veterans that have been here much longer than myself

Below is the greeting on my profile and very similar to the one everyone got as they joined the CC . One of the most important factors and crucial selling points of a CC are the actual CC tourneys . I want to provide a tourney environment that allows each member no matter what tier to be able to hone their skills , make some putts , turn in some decent scores but still challenging and interesting and more enjoyable than the WGT tournaments and multiplayer rounds that all can be very frustrating at times . Not a big fan of red tees but somewhere in between . All is good and you can make them anyway you like . Just wanted to be sure all the TOURNAMENT MAKERS knew how I feel so you don't accidentally scare off everyone . Recruiting is hard fking work .

i could write for days on how I feel about all of the variables that come with my job . I probably will .
But staying on the tournament topic is still one the most important . One more thing I want to say about the green speeds . IDK who the fking genius is in WGT that came up with SUPER FAST and ULTRA FAST green speeds but IMHO they should be shot . I don't see any place for them them in our tournaments . I am not going to waste anytime playing them . Not fun for me . You can make them if you want . Count me out .
I have played over 2000 rounds as a legend on my own Tournament Greens and I can't even play them yet . I'm going to take a wild guess and say that even though TL's have no choice with the champ greens . ( good news is they have a choice in our tournaments )I can't imagine that they are in love with them either .

I think a couple of you TOURNAMENT MAKERS seem to think us Legends and Tour Legends have done it all conquered it all , nothing more challenging to us . ARE YOU NUTS ? Man , take me for instance I know I am not ready for TL . 4000 rounds at WGT , 2000 rounds as a Legend . I'm pretty damn good but probably a couple years off til Tour Legend . You know why that is ? Because it is hard as FK . Most of us still play 80% of our matches in WGT and 20% in the CC . It is nice to be able to play a couple matches where we all know everyone on the scorecard , all of us turned in a decent score . It's a cool feeling . No real competition amongst CC members . Our tourneys are just practice for the real WGT matches that are frustrating as hell . So give us a break TOURNEY MAKERS .

Very Fast for other levels
What do you think about 18 holes vs 9
I think 18 holes are more satisfying plus you get a whole lot of awards every time you beat your best score
But of course they take longer to play and 1 hole can really f*ck you up

As someone who just recently made Legend Tier I would like to add that the most frustrating thing about being Master or Tour Master tier was the constant switching of the green speeds in WGT matches. I could never really get used to putting because the math was different every time I played a round. That is the most frustrating thing about this game is the speed of the greens. It doesn't matter which speed it is as long as players have a set speed that they can get used to.

That being said I also love going into the CC tournament tab and seeing a super easy tournament that I can shoot for every pin and birdie almost every hole. It makes me feel like I am a good player LOL.

Whatever you guys decide is fine with me though

It is simple . I have Pros , Tour Pros , Masters ,we have all tiers in my CC . Some that have been here longer than myself . I have tried to explain to them that WGT has enabled 9 hole rounds to be counted as 18 holes . Therefore essentially enabling WGT members to cut their playing time in half so that it doesn't take ten tears to tier up . They don't get it . Still playing 18 holes and 4, 5 , 6 , years later are still in the same tiers . ( I might be exaggerating a little to make my point , but only a little ) .
What I am asking for , is some sort of WGT Table or chart or rule or FAQ . In writing to prove to some of these stubborn old farts , some of them foreign ugh that I am not just flapping my jaws .

That is my problem with 18 holes . A 9 hole round 35 counts as a 70 . An 18 hole round 70 counts as a 70 . Many poeple do not know this and therefore spend literally many many years in the lower tiers wondering why all these guys just wizzed right by them . It is because of what I mention above .

Thank you I think Chris Lol . You know why I seem to never stop ? Because of you guys . The rewards . Like you alls comments and actions make me care and cover all the bases to make every fking thing clear and easy so we avoid many of the hiccups that cause others to fail . I'm not having that . So many things work , a lot of them don't . In the end I'm hoping it will all pay off .

Its not a question of lack of information but what makes a satisfying game Until last week when the basic starter game was introduced I had forgotten just how satisfying an 18 hole round could be
So if I get the chance when I create a tournament then it will be two 18 hole rounds 3 days each but unlimited so you can stop and start.
This club is something for everyone and I feel that the chance to play 18 hole rounds would be welcome
If this is unacceptable then I will stop creating tournaments and just take part in the ones I fancy (such as the beginners one). I certainly don't want to be blackmailed into setting up a certain type of tournament simply because certain people don't like it

You are right . and not for you anyway ,a lack of information . And many many others . I did not realize that I was making it sound like 18 holes should never be played . Or that 18 holes is not enjoyable . I just wanted anyone out there that didn't know that scoring to know it . There are many who don't know it .
Nothing wrong with 18 holes .
I can see how it might have looked like I was anti 18 holes . Not the case at all . Anyone who knew about the scoring didn't need to know about 9 = 18 . I was only trying to help some who may have not known that .

No probs Paul, I'l try the next tourney with 2 18 hole rounds if that doesn't work out then I can always come up with another format maybe 1 18 hole round over 7 days but unlimited so those of us who need practice can get as many rounds as we can in Whilst the creme de la creme (ie you and all the other legends can just do one round) and get 10 under par lol
Unfortunately my mum died last weekend so I wont really have much time to concentrate on the game for a week or two. I will try and do at least a blitz most days so as to keep the experience points up
But it will be a week or two before I get fully into the swing of things

I never realized that the CC torns can help people tier up...anything I set up from now on will be with easy and/or moderate settings....nothing hard. I also realized that when members play head to head that they play hard set ups.
You are fine Jim . Don't get too nice now . Lol. remember to try to find that area of moderate and challenging still and interesting . Easy or red tees , once in a while . We don't want a cakewalk and then get to Legend and TL and not be able to find the green . Lol.

Hard and hardest are good too can be moderated with green speeds and hole locations . VF and T greens are very good for all tiers . Maybe fast sometimes for the very lower tiers .
I don't know if you all know this . But there are some prominent CC's who's members use the red (easy ) tees almost exclusively to tier up all the way to Tour Legend . And then continue to play the red tees to achieve averages of around 50 .

This is a strange approach and one I am not a big fan of . But it is their choice and not unacceptable in some circles . Free country right ? Lol.

On the other hand the majority IMO of Tour Legends are legitimate and are the Guru's of Golf here at WGT and achieve their averages and maintain them at the moderate ( which includes hard ) approach and are almost unbeatable at any level .

That is the direction I favor for this CC and want nothing more than for all of us to attain that level some day ( not next week ) but when we do . We will be in the elite top players also a force to be reckoned with at all levels .

I hope that many of you are good with that and continue to take that journey with us all at VOTSCC .

I just think that with alt shot teams signing up for a tournament, with participation, it would get a lot of members including myself a chance to meet different people in the club. It would help us get to know each other and become real friends instead of just "friends list friends". It is my opinion that the current club format on WGT is not very helpful with the social side of this game. Unless you play with other people from the club and become real friends instead of just on a list, you will never get the social aspect down that you desire.

The weekly blitz is awesome and I am enjoying playing it. Great job on the awards and ty for the effort you put into that Paul.

That being said, it is still something you play by yourself. Even though I enjoy playing it and will continue to play it, the people I am playing against I don't even know. I have played several times with Paul and once with Mikedeck, and once with Arnie. Other than that the other people are just a name on a screen to me.

The club tournaments are awesome and I will continue to play those for xps, but once again it is something you play completely by yourself. No social aspect to those either. The leaders are just a name on a screen not a real person unless you know them.

We need some way of interacting with other members socially. In my opinion the one thing we all have in common is we enjoy playing the game or we would not be here. An alt shot tournament would include a social aspect, but would also include the one thing we all have in common. The enjoyment of the game.

Once people get to know each other, the forum activity will increase because they actually know people and not just a name on a screen.

Just my 2 cents lol. I think I got long winded here. HAHAHAHA!!!

I totally argee with this proposal Skip..I recently posted a freind invite to the forum here letting everyone know i was sending out freind request so i obvisiouly want to play with my fellow CC memebers because i want to get to know my memebers in my club and i also enjoy it alot more than playing solo games...i Deff second this motion of having a alt shot tourney

Did you guys read this ( below ) or read anything in the site about our weekend multiplayer events ?

My question to you VOTSCC members is . Is there enough interest in the above type of format for me to enter us in the directory ?
Because if there is we will give it a go .
But if there isn't . Then I am just going to start making a random VOTSCC KICK ASS TOURS weekend tournaments . I will send invites to E1 . E1 will be expected to reply YAY or NAY . One way or another . In the meantime . I would like to hear your weekend preferences . Saturdays or Sundays ? & Times of day . What ever input that you tell me one way or another will be helpful in the success .

Please read what I said in this CC Interplay in WGT and go to the site and read up on the procedures of how to make the embedded brackets run smoothly . Message me with any questions . Meanwhile along with a few million other things . I think Sunday June 28th sounds like a GR8 time to give VOTSCC RATTLESNAKE ALT SHOT SUNDAY IN THE SUN . A SHOT . ok ?
E1 in the CC will receive invites plus a few other interested parties . I will also make a new comprehensive guide about the format and protocol for making everything fall into place . I am really encouraged by your fresh spirit Skip and E1 else . Lots of work . But lots of fun .

Sounds great paul...Yes I did read about the cross CC tournament thing, but I didn't really understand it.... To be honest I am not interested in playing with people from other clubs. I want to play with and meet people from this club. I wish WGT would implement a better social aspect to this game. Like a chat box on the country club page instead of just a forum. I know we have a chat box on the forum and I love it but I talk to myself a lot on there because if other players are like me, that forum and even this one being open while I am playing make my meter jump which makes for a not very fun game. Just spitballing ideas and trying to get something going lol. I will leave it up to you.

Signing up , committing , and showing up . Three very difficult ingredients . But not impossible .
Not to mention that the variables of the game itself must be rolling on all fours too .
Any format we play must be played in WGT . They are the only game in town . Therefore the invite system is how one would create and connect with each participant in every match . So of course all would need to be friends , all need to be available to everyone and all need to be green . WGT needs to be having a relatively glitch free day just to get the first match started . Everyones has also cleaned and or cleared or whatever makes their computers run as best as they can . Well before the start of the match ( a couple hours ) and tested and affirmed success so there are no surprise oopses on our end .
Communication is the only way assure continuing from there . But not starting there . the days and week before the event . Communicating to each other to see if anyone will be available on that particular day on the exact time in the exact place will also determine whether or not here will be an event . There are a bunch of factors , procedures and protocols that take place so that everyone lands on the same page .
You might be thinking right now . Fcking Paul is really over thinking this . He is making this harder than he needs to . Jeez all i wanted to is play a match .
Lol . I wish . In fact I havn't even begun yet .
but i am going to take a break right now and I will resume from this point

This is a very important thread for those of you who are unclear about the scoring of 9 holes being doubled to make it equivalent to playing 18 . Enabling all WGT members to advance more than twice as fast than if they were playing 18 holes . so that it doesn't take 10 years to tier up . I have been finding members that did not know this . I have always known this from the beginning and have recently found out that when WGT implemented this years ago they failed to announce it or post it anywhere in writing .
WHERE IS THIS TABLE OR RULE
PLEASE READ THIS THREAD IF YOU ARE UNCLEAR .
I cannot believe this is 2015 and WGT doesn't feel that this is important information that all members new and old need to be clear about .

I have never poached or felt the need to . But don't have a problem with it . I got 10 new recruits this week from alt shot and multiplayer games. Which was much easier than perusing the the tournament leader boards trying to find someone with more than 1 friend . Friendless tourney board people make up 98 % of the boards .
Can you imagine all those thousands of names on the leader board with start dates of 2009 , 2010 , 2011 and everyone of them have less than 5 friends . Big red flag . These are not potential CC candidates . Even if you do send one an invite , and the extremely slim chance they accept . They will usaually disappear in a week or two . Not their thing , playimg with others. Hence 5 ,6 ,7 years here and only 1 friend .
I have had some phenominal luck playing some alt shot and finding lots of very cool non CC members jumping at a chance to join a cool CC like mine .
It was just recently I was getting very frustrated . Thinking all the good potential CC members were already in CC's . Nope good news owners, not only are there plenty of seekers out there . There are so many that are so fed up with th ones they are in . They say " Hey why don't you invite me too ? " I tell them you are already in one duh . By the end of the round they have quit their CC and I happily send them an invite .
Working out well for me . So that's a big tip from me the " ASSKISSING POACHING CC OWNER ". There is plenty of hope to build your CC .

Many of you might be a little shocked by that statement . Doubt we will have any takers but just in case . If their intent is to play and have a good time then who are we to say they can't . Right ? Input please . This is your club too .

I have noticed the growing ranks over the past couple weeks. I am not sure where you want the line to be drawn. With each new member, the chances of involvement you desire are 50-50. I have no qualms with anyone joining our great club. My concern is the larger the club, the more work for you and the greater potential for frustration(yours). As for the gender issue, there is none. This is America. All are welcome. I say grow the club as big as you like, I just don't want you to overwhelm yourself and then we all lose. May the sun always be with you.

That is a good point Rob . One I have put a lot of thought into . At our peak we had 92 members . About 60 of them didn't play at all . I removed them . Then we had another spurt and got to 79 I think . 45 of them did not play . I removed them . since then things got a little better . Trying to be more careful how long non players stay around . Had to remove 5 or 10 here and there . Which brings us to where we are now .
Currently we have almost 100% participation amongst full members . Which means I don't have to pay attention to their activity nearly as much , if at all . Leaves me more time to concentrate on developing a rapport with the new recruits . making sure all is good with them . So I think we have that part covered
So now . What about limits ? Been doing some math . Because I don't know about you . But one of my / our goals is to hit the 50th spot on the CC leaderboard . I think we can do it easily with possibly less than 80 members . But 80 is a reasonable number to shoot for . Still a ways off and I could handle 100 if we should ever expand to that extent .
I have the numbers and they show that we are just a tad below average XP points per person per day as the 46th and 48th spot CC's with 98 members each . The more contributing members we get will lower the daily average burden of each member and strengthen the ability to maintain it .( the idea is to raise the daily average per member but by increasing the numbers not what each member contributes I am already good with what you guys are doing )Right now it is too much for the 59 members we have to be able to or be expected to increase our average . But with about 20 more members . And some of our already up and comers . And our new recruits all playing more and learning how to utilize their XP's most efficiently . I'm telling you . We can see the forest through the trees .
That is not to mention all the other awesome stuff some of you guys are doing already . And the promise of who knows fking what on the horizon . Is all very exciting to me . How about you ?

As far as myself..i have no problem with anyone joining this kickazz CC!!! If we keep growing...thats cool too...and if this isnt the right cc for them (new members) the door swings both ways..lol

Very true you guys...Gender doesn't matter because if a female and/or a transgender member will be hitting from the same tee's us guys are unlike real golf where they hit from the very front tee's. As for the members and new recruits Paul, you seem to have a grip on that and allow people to enter the Club and also aren't afraid to remove them if they can't do the 3 simple things you ask of them...you're more patient than me because I would only try to contact members / recruits no more than a few times.....you try endlessly. We get stronger with every new member you accept and becomes active. Now it seems that word is getting out about how great this CC is......just an example is the Blitz....we went from just a few of us competing to a lot. You are the man...Jim

Damn shame too . Another program that has never worked . Customer service member services has no problem admitting it does not work . I just keep on checking . Just in case .

Hi member services . Happy Memorial weekend .
I would like to get a status update on a couple things . 1) Is there anymore progress on the decision to add more permissions to CC admin ?
2) Now that I trimmed my friends list to 255 . And have 100% PM's with CC members . I am half way there . The "MESSAGE TO COUNTRY CLUB MEMBERS " still does not work . Any progress on that important problem ?

After all that we discussed and some of you may have even practiced for JDSHOEMAKER"S " 18 hole Beginners equipment tourney " It appears that someone may have played with regular equipment posting a 67 . I'm just guessing he didn't use starter equipment . For a paid tourney . That really is a spoiler . Maybe not . Maybe he used starter equipment .
I highly doubt it though and don't how to get E1 to read the forum . I can only suggest that you regular forum readers try and influence some of the other members . I don't seem to get through to them . I hate to keep saying this but IDK anymore .
