Why is this game freezing all the time?

This is the full thread that got me banned . The exchange occurred on page 4 . I will post the first 3 pages . Then page 4 . Then page 5 .

I will highlight the so called " last straw " . Is the sole reason I was banned and my posts hidden forever .

The above link is the incomplete version . This is the only place one can see the full thread . As my posts are hidden from public view .

This version is word for word the exact full thread .

At the end I will show the quote from the moderator .

During match play the drop down menu is blank. I cannot report from
the screen because that doesn't work either. I can reconnect but after 3
reconnects I forfeit. (whoever does it last will forfeit). This is happening every day.
This happens on a T1 line and DSL lines. This does not happen in single play.
This is the 3rd time I have asked about this problem. Is there an answer anywhere
out there?

Hi Rusty, I am no expert on this but here are some ideas:
Check your video card specs and compare them to the game requirements, even if it's close you might need to get a better one.
Always defrag and clean up your drive.
Low memory?

I was using IE7 and I just switched to Firefox based on your question. Downloaded a
flash player (10) and I tried the game (single round) . It did seem a bit faster but the
true test will be a match play because that is where the problem always occurred. I'll let
you know. Thank you for the response.

Alex, this has been a problem for a week now. I've sent several reports during game play.
The problem when I play is, slow loading to the next location, on both courses. I make a shot, and it takes a good minute to load to the next location. I also get a time out error as well, over and over. I didn't think the bug report was going to send properly either.

Did that too...Just had to stop a good match..I think what really bugs me is that there
is a limit to how many times I can reconnect and that when this freeze happens
I cannot access or read the chat function.

It only happens in match play. I have never played with more than one opponent. The
last 2 match plays I played I tried something different. The menu selection in the top
left of the screen has a drop-down . I left the chat selection on (down). I completed
both matches without one freeze. Whenever that drop down shows a blank screen
the system is headed for a freeze.

If I keep the menu (chat function) dropped down during match play it has yet to go blank and freeze up. Once I accidentally tried to see the hole by hole score; as soon I went out of chat and tried to access the menu the drop down was blank and the freeze started. The problem seems to be in that top left section overlay.

This freezing issue isn't just in match play . It's in head to head play also . And yes my system is more than meets game requirements so don't try that crap . Fix the damn problem .This issue has been there since the last game update and gotten worse . WGT want everyone to think it's on they side and not take action to fix the issue , they still laughing all the way to the Bank .

You know I think that there might have only been Match Play at that time . I'm not sure when Stroke Play started . But it was a couple years after WGT started .
You seem to be playing a lot . That's Gr8 . I don't make trophies for 1st Posters that don't play .

The game freezes for essentially the same reasons that it did way back in flash .
One is a weak internet or wifi service on the players end .Probably the most common .
Next is the difficulty the servers have holding our connections . Especially in high traffic times . Holidays and week ends .
If you don't have a weak connection . ( You will already know if you do ) .
Then probably it is your opponents weak connection attributing to it .
There are also many bugs and glitches that are hair triggered in most all of the WGT formats . That certainly cause some of them .
So , poor internet , flakey servers , glitches . All make it very hard for players susceptible to these conditions .

I think it freezes because it forgot its' sweater...however, I may be over-simplifying it.

I heard from an 'insider' that WGT uses an outdated Xenon cooling system for their servers.
I wrote to WGT years ago and told them to switch to the Rhenium based system but to date they seem to have not made the switch.

One could argue that with better servers there would be less connectivity issues .
But that would be speculation .
Observation seems to suggest that .
But we don't have the numbers .
And doesn't address the weak internet providers .

What i have posted about WGT's server is crossed with at least 50-100 players. Even the same WGT does not deny its crappy servers and tries every now and then ways to overcome the problem. So...you have absolutely no clue about, but you keep insisting saying is more likely ''user's end fault''. This is not only inaccurate but ridiculous since all the users that have connectivity problems with the game, cleary state that everything else but WGT works perfectly with their lines.
In brief...if you are completely ignorant about a certain matter, just don't post. Is it so hard for you?

Let me ask you . have you ever had to or tried to play this game with a poor wifi connection ?
Probably not . But many many have and do . Experiencing about 25% success at acheiving an MP round .
Enough to frustrate a person . To say the least .
But once one is able to improve that internet connection . Immediately there are no more freezes or forced forfeits , or spinning for minutes on end .None of that . Ever again .
If you haven't had to experience that . Then you wouldn't know what many many WGTers are going through .

An old saying my pops taught me seems appropriate here:
The statement "if everyone around you is the problem, maybe you're the problem" is generally true. It suggests that if an individual consistently experiences conflicts or negative interactions with others, it may be a reflection of their own behavior or attitude.
Plus, I wanted to post this quote anyway just as an example of proper punctuation. Maybe some can learn from it? (But not likely . As they will . Assuredly argue that improper punctuation . Combined with choppy sentences . Is perfectly acceptable).

First of all I have been positive and optimistic poster for 11 years .

Haven't had an exchange to speak of with another member for 8 years .

The warning the Moderator is referring to is another time when 5 trolls were flame baiting . I didn't even respond .

But they did issue a warning . To have it on the books . to set me up for a later date .

The Moderators are friends with the trolls . I am not .

The trolls asked the moderators to get rid of me . That's what they did .

Abuse of power . Nothing else .

It is what it is .
