what a f****g joke this app is now

Yesterday I pointed out to member services that just the title of this thread alone was worse than my little infraction that got me banned .

The rest of the thread has several other expletives ( not spelled out just like mine ).

Today the name of the thread has been edited by member services no doubt .

what a joke this app is now

More proof that I was selected with bias . To be banned from the forums forever . To have my threads , posts , tutorials and tributes hidden from the public forever .

this app has gone to ***. i can not trust a single shot anymore. what happened? In the past 2 weeks now, my shots are all over the place. There are soooooo many things wrong i will not even go into it..And from the other forum posts it seems like a lot of others are experiencing the same thing. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad i didn't spend a single dime for this piece of.......app.

Lol, I use a cheap 10 credit per sleeve ball and it usually lands somewhere near where I want it too, maybe you’re just a low wind red tee sort of player. Maybe you’d be better off deleting it if it gets you so upset. Why be so emotional about something that you admitted you have not invested any money in, not like you’ve been ripped off?

Looking at the tourney leaderboards and from personal experience, not much has changed...

Although, considering the name you chose, it may just be a case of a self fulfilling prophecy ;-)

Using average to determine how much experience the person has always been problematic. But ever since coin games were introduced, it's even more so. Coin games have no effect on average. Theoretically, a player could never play a ranked round and make it all the way to Tour Champion and have his or her average remain at 150.
In determining experience, a better metric is Level achieved. Generally, it's a much more objective criterion and indicative of how much a person plays or experience the player has.
If a player is at Level 97, the person has played quite a bit and certainly enough to understand how the game works or should work.

Can you explain why you felt the urge to dig up an almost 3 year old post, after being the last person to reply in 2021 and the original poster has obviously stopped playing, despite being able to drop his avg from 149 to 74? Did you feel your original reply was overlooked and not admired enough for its wit? Do you often feel overlooked in real life?

I try to provide a balanced and fair opinion, regardless of the subject. As far as the "politics" thread that was recently deleted, I was the one who flagged it to Nico. Although I stand by what I wrote, I realized that I crossed the T&C line and asked it to be locked or deleted.
Nice hearing from you though. You might have also wished Canucks a Happy Thanksgiving in the thread I provided...but perhaps a bit boring for you?

Steve...I'm an ex-soldier. I never lie or bluff. Feel free to ask Nico who PMd him about the thread and why.
I do find the majority of the forum boring...it's become a technical manual vice a discussion board. Pretty soon, the only person whose posts won't be deleted or locked will be Scott Hope...lol (just joking, Scott)
Finally, I don't know why you think Sam is a troll?. I find his posts informative and he has an excellent, although nuanced, sense of humour.

this game is no where near the great game it once was. also i hardly ever ding the ball like i used to. and i swear they have shrunk the hole smaller than it was. i miss short putts all the time now, i called WGT out on this with no replies back to me. just another way to use up the hits on your balls faster. your right its a JOKE APP.

Respectfully, I think this is the case where memories have faded a bit. Over the years, players have always found fault and have complained about various issues.
In the forum search box, simply put in meter + problems (or similar terms). You'll see a number of posts, some of which may look familiar.

Not yours' truly. I miss the era of Flash...when men were men and beer cart girls were ready to bring us another round of cold ones on demand. When wayward drives, flubbed wedges and 4-putts were worn like a badge of honour. When discussion boards were just that...and any topic would elicit a wide range of opinions.

Hard to know that for sure - the complaints may simply differ.
Am still waiting for a response to a recent report on a leaderboard issue where it is clearly not showing the information correctly - provided images as well - and that is something you would think would be important to address or atleast be acknowledged.
Have yet to hear anything.

That may be true. But it's also true they don't know computers. Computer literacy in the younger generation (in this case, college students) is shockingly low.

Couple of things in reply to these comments.
It's very easy for people of my generation and older ( I'm 58) , to say they're too old for computer related things and that takes away the desire for them to use a few brain cells and attempt to learn new things .
Secondly , the increased usage of smartphones with the younger generation has to have an impact on how often and consequently how adept they are at using a traditional computer . An interesting article from a few years back regarding this whole issue , in particular the first reply >>>

I agree . The high number of inquiries now are from the massive number of new players that don't understand the new WGT . Much less have any understanding of the old .

On the one hand, we'll see the mean level of computer literacy to be fairly low. On the other hand, I believe the variance will be quite high. In other words, we're likely to see some type of bi-modal distribution (individuals clustered at either end of the computer literacy spectrum).
At this point, all I know is (every semester), I have students who will say to me, "I'm just not good at computers." And the tasks we're talking about are fairly basic.

So i guess the most important question would be , does a low level of computer literacy seriously impact on a students academic achievements compared to people at the other end of the spectrum ?. Or is it the case that the difference between the two overall is negligible but it requires more resources from education providers in the form of assistance with the computer tasks ?
I have no idea if basic computer literacy is built into either your curriculum or ours...if it isn't , then it should be ...and if it is , and there is a significant amount of students who are clueless and disinterested in it , then i guess you could form the conclusion that they believe they can achieve what they require primarily with the use of a smartphone.
I remember many, many years ago when my partner was teaching me how to do the basics on a computer and her showing me how to do an email.....and me genuinely saying " why the hell would you want to do this , when you can just write a letter " ....and i meant it ..hilarious thinking back to that, at this point in time

From what I see . For the most part the GENZers and the Millenials are highly adept with the Mobile formats/apps .

Clueless with computers and no interest .

Although I think it must be a choice . I know there are many school programs that offer laptops and even coding training .
But most don't seem to know computers .
