The WGT Universe . Have proven to me . Plenty big enough to help me out .

I'm pretty sure Paul, it was allowed the first time as a sign of respect. I would guess that a second time would be seen as pandering.
What do I know?
Like being asked every time you go through a checkout line in the grocery store, "would you like to donate to blah, blah". It gets tiresome quickly.
Posting a message from WGT to you privately may itself be an inadvertent mistake. Many complain things happen without notice at all. To bandy about with private messages, may result in none, in the future.

Rather a broad brush there on that one. I left a retort to your plight, in hopes of helping you. To say solutions were not allowed is deceitful. I left for work, so I know nothing of anything that may, or, may not, have transpired. Now it's gone.

Something you may want to look into in times like these, you're going through. You must have the best phone service in the world, to allow you through all your torrid perplexities, to continue in this venue, as in other services they offer you, without shutting you off.
Take that as a good thing in the eye of adversity, instead of lashing out at whom ever, if any one, complaining. Maybe it was Icon himself, doing his daily job.

There's an old proverb that I am failing miserably to remember. If I may paraphrase;

Ending all his troubles.
Something to do with watch who your friends are, for all are not what they seem to be, when helping. IDK. Something like that.
Dude, if you have access to this game, & a roof over your head, you are further ahead of tens of thousands of people I have seen with my own eyes.
Focus on something like that, instead of lashing out in your time of anger. I donated heavily to your cause, in a monetary form. This time I am trying to do the same with wisdom.

You may wonder where I get the cajones to say this all to you.
Yesterday I was supposed to get my guts cut open. I decided 1 last game of golf was in order, last Wednesday, as no outcome from invasive surgery is guaranteed. I herniated a lumbar disc golfing, causing me to be unable to walk for two days.
Saturday I forced myself down the stairs, onto the treadmill, then YouTube, to find some type of relief. Wife was instrumental in adjusting me, as best as her tiny frame would allow.
Had to cancel surgery for yesterday as they wouldn't do it until my back was better. Today I called them to reschedule, they did not believe I was walking. Drove up there to prove I was in fact doing so.
Now next Tuesday barring anymore golf, they will be slicing and dicing me, to their hearts content. I will be down for 3 months.
I have made arrangements for all my servitudes to be adequately extended.
So, in a sense, we are in the same boat. I'm beginning to take on water. You are where you choose to be. I speak from experience, & never kick a person when they're down.

Whatever Joe . I don't apologize . Call it what you want . The fact is I am attempting anything at this point .
I put it out there .
PM messaging would be more like pandering .And would get me nowhere fast .
I would think that would be annoying .
I didn't want to do any of this publicly from the start .
People should have a choice . If I am able to reach out to the right crowd on a given day .
it is their choice .
Have you ever run a CC ?
One can spend what amount to days PMing . And only reach a few people .
I don't agree that what i did was offensive . or crossing any lines .
Just because it is a rule here . Does not make it real .
Think about it .
For example . How would it hurt anyone if an advertisement for a CC were to show up on players walls . That were already in CC's .
It wouldn't hurt . You could just delete it if you weren't interested .
But you now were aware of another CC you had never heard of .
At some point in the future . It may be your choice to change CC's .
The key is you had the knowledge of more information . That gave you better choices .
If we are censored and forbidden . Not allowed to speak . Controlled and held back .
How much information do we lose ? How many less choices do we have ?
I have a problem with that . I always have and I always will .
I am not even disputing the decision . I am not even angry . I just don't agree with it .

Fully 13 of the 26 generous people the first time . Were WGTers that have never been on my friends list .
This is the grapevine .
That is why I thought what I did was right .
And they I am sure were happy to help .
I also have never been more grateful . Opened my eyes to real connections I didn't know I had .
Real connections that don't even need to be on my friends list . How about that ?
Very cool . That's what .
Most of the time . I am not enjoying this period of my life .
But to learn things like that . Is encouraging .

The main reason that PMing is such a non option for me . Is that the feature to add recipients to the message is corrupt on my account . And always has been since before I started my CC .
By now I have deleted every player that was ever on it and reduced my list to 100 a couple times .
Nothing will fix it . " Player not found " is what it says . So for 4 years i have only been able to send individual PM's . That got very old after a few thousand in the first couple of years .

I think this is where you're missing the lesson here Paul. Wgt is a good game, however, to make it first, above all else pressing in life, is ludicrous, to me. This is a virtual world.
You have real world problems. Your virtual CC should be the LAST thing on your mind, especially if you are facing homelessness, and all that goes with it. I see far to many people in here, that make this joint their life's ambition. C’est la vie.
Those folks are in a position to do so. I think it's crazy, but that's just my opinion of the human condition, and where it leads some. People beg for balls, etc.. This gives retirees a place to relax, get to know virtual strangers. All good.
You need some real world fixes Paul. The virtual world is that last place to find your cure.
Your time for your immediate future to progress, purposefully, will not be found in here. To commit such an amount of time doing so, is akin, to putting a knife to your throat.
If I were a futurist, I would see you in a free Wi-Fi zone, with a tablet or such, in tattered clothing, running your precious CC while the world passes you by.
Now that's what you are portraying to many in here, at this point Paul. There is plenty more about the PM's I could comment on. It is futile & redundant for me to do so.

It is a biggie here in WGT . I have shown that there have been many owners that could not find replacements . no one would step up . IRL called . The owners had to part with out replacement .
That almost happened to VOTSCC . I tried for more time than I care to share to get some one to replace me .
it wasn't until I advertised in the main forum and got some responses from players outside VOTSCC . That a couple members stepped up reluctantly to say they would step up .
So Joe . the thousands of CC's where there wasn't a replacement owner . Who's 10's of thousands of members eventually . Sadly and unnecessarily drifted out and away from WGT . Is a serious tragedy . And is a BIGGIE .

I have many burdens . This is way down on the list .
And another one . I am the one that has been leading the horses . i couldn't make them drink . But i never stop trying .

Like I said . you find out that there are some real people here . They may not even be on your friend list . They may not even be prominent in the forums .
But that is how they know each other .
I have no shame . I have no regrets . I have no control over surprises that I don't see coming .
I know that many say that they have been there done that . And they got through it .
So will I . But there was no way to prevent the hell we are facing right now .

The only part I would say is wrong is the world isn't passing me by . I just have no resources to keep up .
This has been going on for 5 months . have tapped out every viable resource 2 and 3 times over .
I am not stupid or missing something .
I am in pain . Disabled . And still have at least 2 more surgeries . Without income . I am done .
i might not even have insurance anymore . I can't pay my $35.00 per month premium .
I might not be getting anymore surgeries .
i am not whining . I am telling you like it is . I cannot believe it is happening .
You would not believe what it is doing to my wife . if i could do anything to give her hope and some sort of relief . She will come first before anything .
So expletive all you holier than thou expletives . If you are doubters . it is because you are entitled spoiled expletives that have no clue .Have never been in this position . Therefore have no idea . 6 months ago I would have bet that i would never be in this position .
All my life I have been a motivated and resourceful provider . Until I cannot .

BTW . VOTSCC has nothing to do with this .It is not so precious . It is just a good CC .

In 2017 I spent over $1100.00 in purchases in WGT . Mostly for CC members and other WGT players that needed help . A normal year . I would do it again .And have done it for 5 years .
In 2018 I have spent $ 0.00 on myself or anyone here .
Quite a contrast . It is very depressing . Many things are depressing . Very hard to keep my head up .

That's quite factual, and funny to me, Collin. You are one for the direct approach, and I applaud that in people. No confusion arises.

Of course Joe I didn't expect that you had become a troll . if you think I am angry . I am not . The comment with the expletives is just a comment .
Again . I have had some serious diversities throughout my life . Homelessness , destitute . unemployed . serious fractured parts of my body . jail time , probation . dejection , rejection , loss of close family . Fear for my life .raised 4 children , etc.
But i was younger then . i survived all of it and more .
But my wife and I are 58 . We are not prepared for this hardship . i am just being honest .
This is a bytch . We are struggling .
it is too bad that the only ones that are speaking are some of the insensitive trolls .
My wife and I are good people . We are there for all kinds of people . Always have been .
We volunteer at food banks . Give to charities when we can .
I am for 10 years the head inspector election board worker and run my own precinct Apache 21 .
