I post these PUBLIC CITIZEN announcements . Solely as a source for information we may not otherwise get a chance to hear . While I most often agree with many of their causes . I post these as more informational than political .

• America is the wealthiest nation on Earth and we spend more on health care per person than any other major country.
  

• Yet we have the worst health outcomes of any rich country, with the highest levels of infant mortality and the lowest life expectancy.
  

• Our health care system exacerbates rather than reduces racial and income inequity.
  

• Even for people who have “good” insurance, outrageous medical bills — the inevitable result of our immoral, for-profit health insurance regime — are the #1 cause of bankruptcy.
  

• And we are — still, for crying out loud — the only major country on the planet that does not guarantee health care to all of its people as a right.
