HOW TO INVITE IN " CREATE A GAME "


This will be a brief tiutorial on how to invite a Stroke Play Multiplayer Match in " CREATE A GAME ".. Alt Shot is very similar . You need a full boat , 4 players in that mode .

CLICK GAME MODES ON THE GAME CLIENT

CLICK MULTIPLAYER THEN CLICK Stroke Play

CLICK Stroke Play " CREATE GAME "

CHOOSE YOUR COURSE AND YOUR CONDITIONS

THE TIER LEVEL YOU SELECT . WILL DETERMINE NO PLAYERS BELOW  THAT TIER WILL JOIN . THE EXAMPLE BELOW WAS SET AT LEGEND . A CHAMPION JOINED  , I choose hack in Alt Shot . Usually Tour Master in Stroke Play . Totally your personal preference .

CHOOSE " ANYONE " FOR RANDOM PLAYERS OR " INVITE " TO CHOOSE FROM
YOUR FRIENDS ONLINE .

CLICK " INVITE " IT WILL BRING UP YOUR FRIENDS LIST ON THE LEFT . CLICK :" INVITE "NEXT TO YOUR FRIEND ONLINE.
IN THE SEARCH BOX TYPE FREINDS NAME OR ANY PLAYERS YOU ARE AWARE ARE ONLINE . A PLAYER IN THE CHAT MIGHT SUGGEST A PLAYER HE OR SHE
KNOWS IS ONLINE .

IF YOU CLICK ANYONE , IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY SEARCH ONLINE PLAYERS .
THEY WILL JOIN YOU THERE IN THE LOBBY


ONCE YOU HAVE THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS YOU WOULD LIKE .
IN STROKE PLAY YOU CAN PLAY WITH 1 , 2 , 3 OPPONENTS .
SO IF 2 PLAYER IS ALL YOU WANT . WHEN 1 PLAYER SHOWS UP THE " TEE OFF" WILL HIGHLIGHT AND ACTIVATE . CLICK IT AND START PLAYING .

P.S. In Alt Shot the " TEE OFF " will not work until there are 4 players locked in .

HOW TO " CREATE A GAME "

In the game client click " GAME MODES " .

Click Match , Stroke , or Alt Shot. Click Create Stroke Play .

.You pick your course , You set your shot clock , Set # of timeouts , Set apparel bonus on/off .

In Stroke Play you can have 1 , 2 , 3 opponents .
You may also type a friendly message in the chat .
When setting up . You can invite friends , random players that fit your criteria in the invite set up . Or both .
Click " CREATE " .

You can also use player suggestions that your opponents type in the chat . Of players that they know or hope are online . You then type that name in the SEARCH above your friends list on the left . Once you click " INVITE " .
Random players will show up in the boxes you click " ANYONE " .
Click " INVITE " next to any friend you want to invite .
You are limited to 5 minutes in which to fill your party . But that is time enough to attempt several invites . If you have 3 good players waiting ( yourself included ) needing a 4th . And your time runs out . It is possible that the players will be willing to be reinvited on a new attempt .

See how the " TEE OFF " lights up once 1 player joins ( screenshot below ) . You can tee off then . Or you can wait until there are 3 or 4 players .
If you only want 1 opponent .
It is wise to ask him or her before you click " TEE OFF " . Or you just might pee them off . They might only want to play MP with several players .

Lol .

When you set the minimum player rank . No one below that rank can join . In this example I chose Legend . A Champion showed up .

Remember , No practice rounds are ranked . Nor are Alt Shot rounds .
Practice Stroke. Adjust's  Tee's , Wind , Green's as well .

Click " CREATE ".

In Alt Shot . Basically the same set up as Stroke Play . Except the " TEE OFF " will not light up until there are 4 players . Alt Shot does not have Practice Mode . Only Scored .

 Match Play round . Can only play 2 player , plus minimum 100 cr . In Challenge Mode .
There is also Scored mode .The most common .

Click " CREATE ".

There is also practice mode . You can choose tee locations , green speeds , wind speeds as well as minimum player rank , shot timer seconds , # of timeouts allowed and apparel bonus . .

Click " CREATE ".

These are the original " CREATE A GAME " The MP ( multiplayer ) formats that have been so popular for over 13  years .I think . This is the earliest post I can find .

Yes, you haven't started one.  For Playing alone...

• PLAY NOW >> SINGLE PLAYER GAME >>  Select Course
  
• Choose:    Under "COURSES": BETHPAGE BLACK or KIAWAH ISLAND
  
• Choose:    Under "GAME TYPE":  Stroke Play
  
• Choose:    Ranked or Practice
  
• Choose:    Under "HOLES":  Front 9, Back 9, or Full 18
  
• TEE OFF!
  

For Playing a Multiplayer or Match Play game

• PLAY NOW  >>  MULTI-PLAYER GAME >>  Join a group  or Create a group.
  
• Pick JOIN for your first time... 
  
• Set the STYLE -- MATCH PLAY or STROKE PLAY
  
• Set the COURSE -- Bethpage Black, Kiawah Island or Any
  
• Set the MODE -- Practice, Ranked or Any
  
• Set the HOLES -- Front 9, Back 9, Full 18, or Any
  
• TEE OFF!
  

Of course, if there are no groups to join you will be presented with a "what do you want to do next" button that is pretty intuitive.  If you can't find someone who has already created the game you want to play, feel free to create it yourself.
But most of all, have fun, enjoy the round and laugh once or twice at this silly thing we call 'virtual golf'.

The format " JOIN A GAME " . Is nearly the same . But without the ability to select your options .
