Having received a box of whatnots & such from the Yancyman myself it warms the cockles o' me ole heart to think someone would actually take the time (not forgetting cost) to spread some joy/fun all over the globe.
Now this is a thread that most definitely should get the positive responses/attention it deserves - superb example of a real random act of kindness.

- You know, I really like this thread so I'm going to try and follow in Yancy's footsteps and see if we can keep this thread going.
Back at Christmas time I was purchasing some gifts from Amazon and I received something that wasn't exactly as the seller described it and I really had no use for it. I tried to send it back but Amazon told me to keep it and they would send me exactly what I was looking for, which they did, but now I still have this other item and I'd like to send it to someone that could get some use out of it.
Unfortunately the item is very geographically specific, so the majority of you won't really be interested in it. You might enjoy the story though after I find someone to send it to.
So with that said....I'm looking for someone that lives in the state of Alabama and that plays golf in real life. If you meet these two criteria....throw your name in the hat, I'll pick a winner and send it to you free of charge, no strings attached.

Planning to play some in Atlanta (w/ mags and Paul ...pmm711) a day or so before heading up to the U.S.Open next month.
what about if you play golf and drove through alabama?

Not my idea at all, you and Yancy deserve all the credit. I just thought it would be fun if this thread could continue with players sending each other some fun gifts.
It should be noted that my gift isn't a 50 inch flat-screen t.v., a Cleveland golf bag with "Crimson Tide" written down the side or even something as cool as the "Easy Eggwich"...but maybe it will put a smile on someone's face or maybe it will be a fun story they can tell their friends the next time they go out and play golf.
I see we have a couple of players who have thrown their names in the hat. I can't send this out until I get back to the office on Monday so I'll keep this open and pick a winner on Sunday night.....stay tuned.

Now let me tell you how that golf towel ended up on your golf bag down in Alabama....
Last Christmas I was shopping around for some golf gear for my golfing buddies, you know golf balls, towels etc. I find some golf towels and here is the description-
"This is an assortment of four 16"x24" golf towels. Assortment consists of 4 towels with a variety of golf course and event logos."
and here is what I got-
Yep, four of the exact same towel with Alabama's Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail on them.
Now, I've never been to Alabama, I've never traveled through Alabama and at the time I didn't know anyone that lived in Alabama. So I tried to return them to Amazon, they told me to keep them and issued me a credit. I ordered the towels again and this time I got towels with logos from courses in California, Nevada, Arizona (exactly what I was looking for) and guess what the fourth towel was......yep, another Alabama's Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail towel!
I kept that last towel at home and figured I could do something with it. Then I saw this fun thread started by Paul and thought it would be fun keep the thread going by giving away the towel....and that's that.

Maybe this is a sign MC, that is telling you to visit Alabama (don't stay, this is a CRAPPY state) and play one of RTJ's courses. They are amazing and beautiful. Only seen pictures of the others, but I've played Grand National over 100 times probably.
By the way, I checked the website out. That is such a cool place to work!! One of those places you don't regret having to get up and go to work. Like I said, Dream Job!!
