This is TEAM VOTSCC our Interplay team and CC representatives . Who play matches I set up with other CC's . Where each member is matched with a member from another CC . The 2 of them usually have 2 weeks to contact , arrange and play 1 or 2 matches .
These are fun . And a GR8 way to meet other members from other fun CC's . For me I have continued to play matches with members from every CC . And is a GR8 way to represent our CC in a positive , sporting way .
In these events I challenge another CC . The owner ( or director ) and I match rosters . They don't have to match players exactly . I look at time zone more than level . We / I schedule a time frame of two weeks . 2 weeks for the match up opponent and you to contact , schedule , and play 1 match .
These events are usually match play events . I have created a new format for these . I set it up for 2 rounds . To be played separately . Pebble Beach fr 9 in the first round and Pebble Beach bk 9 in the second round . The two matches have to be played separately . Even if you played them back to back . Just play them as two rounds . It works out very well .
In our 4th and 5th events . We played 2 CC's at the same time . That went very well . But I don't want to do that again .
I will go ahead and challenge another CC and see what they have on their roster .
In the mean time . If you are interested . Some CC's actually have 2 x 16 player rosters . I don't want that but a couple few reserves is gr8 . There is usually 1 or 2 or more that can not make it because of prior engagements . You can post here if you would like to be added to the roster .

Community-Organized Tournaments
I used to post them in Country Club Corner . But it was suggested that I move them . So I did . The thread is to used as a common spot for both teams to post and comment , ask questions . Try to contact their match up , post their scores etc . Everyone ( team member ) is expected to keep current on the event by reading the progress . Being that we are the hosts . I will be recording the scores that you post in the thread . Please also go out of your way to reasonably and politely connect with your match up . Try to be knowledgeable and hospitable . Basically act like you know what you are doing . And please keep me up to date on your contact and arangements . It is important for myself and the other owner to know what is going on and what to tell each other .
I will post the details , the course or courses , the time frame , any obscure rules ,lol , The match ups will be up on the roster . Long before the event starts . I will be having a team roll call prior to the match . I can no longer assume that just because I post all this and post the beginning of the match . That you team members have even seen or read this post . Much less know that you are in a tournament .
Also if you have any questions at all . Please ask before it is a problem . If you think you might not be around or in town during the 2 week event . Please let me know in plenty of time . Once I announce the dates .

This event can be and is a GR8 success when all players are on board . I have to be clear about your commitment to this before I will agree to challenge another CC .
There are a couple top notch CC's in line . We cannot have players not contacting myself or the other team for 2 and 3 weeks . Then playing the wrong formats . I was quite embarrassed in the last interplay . Not a responsible and committed showing by some . The only thing that saved us is it was the other CC's first showing . And were clueless themselves . Being that the main post is in the main forums . I would hope to cast a better light on our CC . From now on . If this cannot happen we will not be playing any more of these .
I am sorry this had to be said . But it did . Please take these events more seriously .

Scott most of us also work . But there is no telling what the schedule of the person you are matched up with will be . There is usually a 2 or 3 week time frame in which it is up to you and your opponent to contact , arrange and play your 2 matches . If you are exclusive to week ends it may be difficult . But you can try still . Let me know if that will work . And I will put you on the team .

We need players that love this format . That are happy to give some effort to friending , contacting , and arranging a match or two with a complete stranger . Feel good about the process , play a couple rounds , make a new friend , post your progress , post your scores , be happy and hope we come out on top . If we don't ? Still have fun .
That's the way these CC vs CC events work best .

This complacency and lack of support for our team is very disturbing . I was really hoping we could continue as we were . Although I am used to our events dropping off one at a time . This was one in particular I was really hoping to salvage .
The last event with Arnies Army was pathetic and embarrassing .But when I pointed that out . I was hoping to snap you out of it and wake you up . That doesn't appear to have happened .
These events are a lot of work and takes the entire team to be on board in every way Physically present and mentally aware of the event and the attention it takes .
I will wait a couple more days at the most to see and hear some support and excitement and teamsmanship . Even from those that have already checked in . If that can't happen i will have to withdraw our challenge . As we are not prepared . And the other team is .

Ladies . Maybe you can do better job inspiring some action from this geriatric acting team or partial team .
But if we don't get about 5 more fired up players . And if we don't hear from the players that are on the team that can't find a forum post to save their lives . Some have responded . Those guys are ready to rock . But if you read above . THAT IS NOT ENOUGH !
We might not even get to play UKGE . And stay home with our tails tucked between our legs .
If that it too forward for you guys . If you can't take the heat from a very anxious coach that has been begging for some response . If when I talk like that . You say " Who the fck does that *** think he is ? " And can't see that it's just motivational encouragement . After months of please and thank you's .
If it doesn't fire you up enough to say " Put me in coach I'm ready to play TODAY " Then we are doomed and don't deserve a team and we will not have one . That's all .
I'm not done . it goes way beyond this team . The whole CC has similar issues some not so bad . Some as bad .
What I ask is only a matter of a few more minutes of your time . A few of the minutes out of the hours you spend playing in WGT and ignoring your CC . Not any minutes from your personal life . None taken from the time you spend with your family . None of your work time . No I would never ask that . Just time managed from the hours and hours and hours you already spend here on WGT .
If you can't see yourself doing that . If what goes on here . If you can't justify in your head that becoming a legend , or a Tour Legend , or Champion . That a very large part of that is due to how you are able to manage your playing time while in VOTSCC while utilizing our formats and events . Is making that possible . Maybe better than most anywhere else . And by that knowledge . Appreciate what is going on here . And take some of my suggestions seriously .
Then what i am doing is a waste of my time and yours . In fact maybe just ask some of our current and past Champions and T L's who came up in VOTSCC . If they had a whole bunch of better choices and places to do it .

No I didn't forget ESSSY . He may have a different perspective . I think he knows how to type . Maybe he's got $ .02 cents he wants to put in .
I'm not kidding . I am sure you won't ask them . But anyone not currently in the CC that is on that list . No matter what the reason for their exit . Remains a very good friend of mine today . And we still play . Some a lot some not so much . But one thing is certain . The SUN will always be with them .
