Some trouble gettin' loaded
- Hey folks, Recently I was experiencing some trouble getting frozen in the middle of a multiplayer round. Several days ago I had to restart my whole system and didn't make it back in time to stay in a fun round with Paul and Steve (though apparently they still enjoyed themselves despite my absense).
Since I've cleaned my system and made sure shockwave etc is running properly. I've noticed previous posts about problems members had locking up or failing to load. Normally I have no problems with Firefox. Maxthon doesn't seem to work for me and as we know Chrome has it's issues.
Any advice or fellow commiserating is welcome. This may be a question for John the PC guru.

Thank you Direktor Kooky .
Andrew what operating system are you using ? Windows 7 ? , Windows 10 ?
Are you sure Maxthon isn't going to work for you ? Be sure you are installing a version 4. something . Not Maxthon 5 . Even a late 3. something is good .
It is extremely user friendly , very fast , has manageable settings .
Mozilla Firefox can be good . They have a 64 bit version Waterfox .
I have found Maxthon and Mozilla to have fewer WGT issues than all the others .
Maxthon has serious disconnect issues because WGT can't get Maxthon to support them . As good as Maxthon is as far as smooth meter , precise mouse response , etc . Not being supported mostly effects the quick loading html files in between holes when changing holes . It will quickly go to a white screen with an exclamation mark in the middle . Requiring a refresh to bring you back to the game client .
Very much like WGT's own black screen , requiring a refresh , and other various WGT load issues and unexpected errors .
But regardless of the issue or browser . A simple refresh should remedy that disconnect and have you back in the game client . Able to click " continue match " and resume play with yourself or whoever .
On the rare occasion that somehow you ended up rebooting or restarting . Any moderately modern computer . Using any browser or operating system should still be able to do it quick enough before you time out in the round .

Sounds good Cory . That's kinda what I was getting at . There are some browsers that work well . Much better than Chrome and Edge .
Of course there is always one in the bunch that says . Ive never had a problem with Chrome or Edge . Duh your the only one . Lol .

Thanks for all the quick feedback guys. I'll try some of those options. I'm running Win 10 and have been for quite a while. I didn't have trouble till recently.
Maybe if I stopped watching so much porn while I'm getting loaded on Kelly's scotch my system would run more smoothly.
See you all around, Andrew

I don't want to be that guy with the "I never have any problems with Chrome", but I use it consistently for work and play and have very few so I'm curious. What are the known issues with Chrome as far as WGT goes?
Also, I prefer bourbon to scotch, but as long as you're getting loaded why be picky?

As I mentioned, if this helps just one person, I'll feel the post is justified. I personally uninstalled java unless you absolutely have to have it to run a app. Bottom line....DITCH Java...Uninstall.reinstall Browser....Get correct version Flash per Browser rev...
