A DISCOURAGING SITUATION ( another rant )

This is a very difficult situation we find ourselves in . You have an owner Me that had and has big dreams and goals and directions for the CC I ventured to build . I knew it would take a long time . Probably a couple few years . There are so many things that need to fall into place . Along the way and to add to and incorporate into as the CC builds with knowledge and strength , experience and versatility . 

  First you must establish a member base . That is dedicated , friendly , respectful , willing to be available , present , active , communicative , helpful and willing to create and play CC tournaments . This first thing was not an easy thing to do . But I think we accomplished that .
  Second is try to keep this position and try to expand and improve . From the beginning it has always been important to me for every member to have a rapport with me , the directors , and every member .

   This is so that there can be events and activities like CC interplay . Not just multi player matches alternate shot and stroke on weekday evenings . But other events as well . CC vs CC challenges , weekend multiplayer tournaments . In CC challenges like the " Magic Star " and " The King " . The daily Desert Blitz . 

 From my perspective . If I have 36 members that know this . Then There would be no problem putting together a 16 player roster to accept a challenge from another CC .

  After 21 months of weeding out the dead beats , the members that would never play at all , that were impossible to communicate with . Finally ending up with a group that was a little better than that . I was and am finally able to relax a little . 

When I started . I did all kinds of things i hadn't ever considered . Especially like awards and accolades . To think that i would have over 1,000 trophies in one library . That I made ? . Not to mention a website too ? Talk about a failure . 


  Now almost 2 years into it  multi player matches alternate shot and stroke on weekday evenings . CC vs CC challenges , weekend multiplayer tournaments . In CC challenges like the " Magic Star " and " The King " . The daily Desert Blitz . Are still nowhere to be found . It is not for lack of effort on my part . It is because I have not been able to recruit members that share the same interests as me . ( by interests I'm talking CC related only , not your golf game , not your life , just the few things I mention above ) That is very hard to do . Maybe impossible .

  That does not mean that what I want is unrealistic or too much to ask . It may never happen . What it does mean is I am still the leader of a group of players that do not share the same interests as me . 

  Something that would not be a good idea for me to continue doing . Failures at every attempt . Rejection for nearly everything i want to do . Being ignored . Communication is a long way from good . 20 out of 36 members that i never hear from . Can barely get a response after a dozen efforts . 

  This all is very hard to do every single day . I cannot do it any more . 

  There are a couple ways I could do it . 

  I could remove half of you . The ones that never sign up for anything . That don't even post enough in the forum that the rest of us don't even know you or have ever played a match with you . That would probably be the smart thing .

  I could turn this over to someone else . Give up my VOTSCC . Go and join a CC that has all that stuff already . Nothing to build , nothing to create nothing to do but play . I don't know if I could be happy doing that . Maybe . 

  Because I can't change . I have already been looking the other way for so many things for a long time . Trying to think different . Trying to lower my areas of direction and concern . And believe me I have  It feels like I went from 60 to zero . But that's not working . I think what will work is just do it on  a smaller scale .
