9 HOLES = 72 TIER UP TWICE AS FAST
I remember reading something several years ago that convinced myself anyway . But now I find nothing . It should be general knowledge but I found out through a couple conversations that it may not be true that E1 knows that 9 holes count as 18 holes .

What I am asking for , is some sort of WGT Table or chart or rule or FAQ . In writing to prove to some of these stubborn old farts , some of them foreign ugh that I am not just flapping my jaws .
If not . FK it . Let them play 18 holes for 20 years . Are we all clear now ? Because I sure remember reading something that at least appeared somewhat official several years ago .

One of the very important features that I have not mentioned lately . Is that WGT scores all ranked and scored 9 hole rounds as double . Equaling an 18 hole round .
9 = 72
18 = 72
WGT does this so that one does not have to play 18 holes . So it does not take 20 years to tier up .
Every 9 hole round is doubled and counted as 18 . Playing 18 holes takes more than twice the time to level up and tier up as 9 holes .
If you did not know this . This is a fact . Very important to know .ArnieFinlay

yep and that is why the Arnie lower your average tours are based around 9 holes

My damn average ballooned when I hit legend because instead of me playing practice rounds to get used to my new tees, I played ranked rounds....my average yesterday was north of 82. I played about 10 9 hole rounds yesterday to get it under 81, and going to play more today to get the darn thing under 80. 9 hole rounds are the way to go for me...find a good course / set up and fire away. Trying to hit 500 ranked rounds to saturate legend is a huge task....10 rounds a day for 50 days (or 5 for 100 days, or 3 for 160 days) is a whole bunch of playing. Those 90's and 100's I shot when 1st starting legend are, right now, the death of my average.pdb1

That's when the unlimited play comes in . They can be used as practice rounds . You restart the ones you don't like the score of . Restart before the end of the round on any hole . Finish the ones you did good on . It's not too late to do that now . If you regulate it like that . You will be surprised how fast you can drop your average .
Game completion percentage is not affected by restarted rounds in unlimited play . Game completion percentage is only active in multi player ranked rounds . In unlimited play you can restart a round 100 times and you're completion color will stay green .

By the way . Were you playing 18 holes ? If so why ?
Or were they 9 hole 45's = 90 ?JimQ916

No, pretty much all 9 holer's....(putting up 40's - 50's). I never gave thought about how that was going to affect my average, and honestly didn't care, but now that I see it at over 80, it's a little embarrassing. It's going to come down slowly until I do get saturated, and once I do, it will plummet....just a matter of time. I am very familiar with the restart option, and would have used that if I was concerned about my average being what it is...now it's time for damage control.lifehacker0

BAM bingo . You're welcome , I actually knew Jim was fully aware of the unlimited play advantages . But I kind of drew out his responses to get that example affirmed by someone else than me . So that someone like you might take notice . Many times I do not know if people that need to know this stuff even read it . Much less take something from it . .

So Paul, you used me as a pawn in your evil, twisted game? (lol). I played a bunch yesterday and yes...ta da da....my average is now 79.72....that's way high, but at least I'm not a legend with a 80 something...hell, if i do that every day, I'll hit the 500 saturated in months instead of a year. Have a great Monday everyone...Jimnansting17

Yeah, Jim,
Da Boss is evil sometimes.
But he does have some good tips every now and agin,,,,
And I'm glad both of youse play from "The Tips",,,,
Otherwise, I'd have NO chance!!!
But, I play my pass to its bitter end. THEN the next round of the day I'll restart, if I'm dropping doodies on the course.
SOOOO, Beware where you step!!!! ('Cause I don't pick up after meselfs!!!!)

Thought I wouldn't Jim .
my next post was going to be about the minefields which I managed to tiptoe around in Nan & my round together yesterday. Which was quite an enjoyable round I might add.

Yep, great tips. I restart unlimited rounds constantly. Especially with the stroke play tournaments; there's no point in putting up a 37 when the score to beat is 31. Just kills your average without gaining you anything.
