I will begin with when I began here at WGT . After the PC TW games slowed up . I found WGT . I thought WOW ! This is the shit .
I immediately started playing my ass off . I played WGT unlimited play stroke play , multiplayer stroke play with the FIND A GAME and CREATE A GAME features . And a lot of matchplay .
The players I met at first were veterans from 2007 , 2008 , 2009 . They were incredible . They were from all over the world . Some had 15,000 to 20,000 match play rounds in and 5000 stroke play . Stroke play was only a few years old in 2012 .
They were cool , friendly , personable , generous , and knowledgeable . There was probably 100 of them on my almost 700 at one point friends list .
A couple years later after starting a CC . I eventually had to remove all of them to reduce the list to 255 . So I could message my CC members .
So I lost all those names . And eventually even forgot their names .
But I didn't forget how they welcomed me to WGT .
That was the basis for the " WGT KICK ASS TRAILBLAZERS " award . When I ran across SidersBest Is this WGT's oldest active player? thread . He inspired me to pay tribute to those pre 2010 veterans .
But then I found that so many were not active any longer . Then I noticed that there was a good many that had stopped within the last year . And even more so that had stopped since the start of PCEA . Interesting but true .
I also saw that there were ahellalot of truly GR8 players with 2010 , 2011 , 2012 start dates and all the way up to the present . Lol probably millions I don't know .
So I had to draw the line somewhere . The criteria was a start date of pre 2010 . And active within the last 2 months or so , give or take a month .
That has been my latest project . Seeking out the players with pre 2010 start dates that are mostly still active . Not an easy task . I have looked at over 4000 profiles . And found about 462 players that fit the criteria . So far . I don't know how far or how many I will end up finding . I hope to reach 500 . But this will be my last major task here . . As of 10/6/2020 I have stopped looking .

As has been the case with many of the awards I have made . And many of the accolades that many WGTers deserve . No one else is recognizing them . Especially WGT .Some are lucky enough to have been receiving awards and trophies all along in their CC . Some have not .
So I do some of it . From the reactions I have received over the years . That has been my reward . Some are humble . Some are excited . Some probably don't care . That is plenty . Just from the thanks I have received .
But I know I could not begin to thank everyone for all the GR8 contributions that easily thousands of GR8 WGTers have provided over the years . That's why these little bits I do mean so much to me .
Thank you to anyone I am not able to make a trophy for or thank in person .

I want to thank all my ex CC mates from The Valley of the SUN Casual Club CC . About 600 members/players .
Also incloded of course are some of the GR8 MP mates I have had the pleasure of meeting . Random players , members from dozens of CC's , and the other incredible CC owners I have had the priviledge and honor of meeting , playing and friending
OOPs. It turns out that list grew to way over 600 ,
For allowing me to be a part of the GR8est group I have ever been associated with .

As best as I can tell . So far out of the 2500 profiles I have viewed . These are the only pre 2010 still active tenacious , dedicated , GR8 women " TRAILBLAZERS " I have run across . I hope to find more .

I just added 19 more to the list above . Bringing the total to 300 . " TRAILBLAZERS " . That is quite a lot . I still feel that there are undoubtedly hundreds if not thousands more .I admit they are getting fewer and farther in between . Just takes a little longer . Okay a lot longer . But I knew it wouldn't be easy .
The criteria for a " TRAILBLAZER " is simple . A starting date of pre 2010 . And a fairly active current status . In fact most have been playing consistently through the years . Some have taken breaks for months or years in the interim . That is fine . You came back . Are playing again . All good . A genuine " TRAILBLAZER " .
When I began this . I probably got responses from 50 of the first 100 recipients . Which I felt gr8ful for . Their responses drive me and motivate me and justify all this work . Just like their responses said the recognition drives them to play more . The last 200 recipients . Not so much . Hardly a word . In fact none .
I think my end goal will be 500 . With the trophies and recognition .
I already have thoughts on other projects . I hope my brain blows up before then . So I won't be able to start another one .

For 3 weeks I have been slowly going through a players friend list with 1614 friends on it . I found 119 " TRAILBLAZERS " . And more than 55 obscure CC's .( bottom list) ( I hadn't heard of ) . With these " TRAILBLAZERS " in them .
Anyway I am finally done with that friend list . 24 more trophies from that list .Then I can now go back to some of the top CC's lists . And continue through them . I still haven't made it to APHRODITE . But have had a lot of help on that one . Thank you for that .
BTW there are now 5 awesome female " TRAILBLAZERS " .

On a personal note . I am not able to respond with any certainty that any post will see the pages of the Forum . The moderation department . By the instruction of WGTicon . Has made a game of making me wait for the 50% of my posts that I submit .
I have asked member services to look into the practices of the joke that they call the moderation department .
It seems that there is a hierarchy of untouchable incompetents , That extends as a group to the royal trolls that are more than their acquaintances . They are most likely lovers as well .
I'm not imagining this . I have a log of nonposted submittals . Some took an hour to write . It appears to be arbitrary . As there are no Forum rules infractions . It is frustrating . To be censored . Especially as harmless as mine are .
The only reason they will give me for my moderation is that.

A frequent contributor to this wgt forum pdb 1 has confessed that he isn't really making that much effort when he writes his stories..
Paul says he feels that he is barely going through the motions, treading water, and not really going the extra mile.
"I'm not really very inspired at the moment," he said, looking uninspired. "It's not easy to keep coming up with interesting stuff to fill the pages, and I just feel like I'm not really putting my back into it."
He said it seems as if he's operating at at 50% of his capacity.
"I'm only working half as hard as I could," he comments
Wgt leading forum poster paul tries to write a story every day, but he thinks it's becoming more and more difficult as time goes on.
"I'll have to try and pull my socks up," was his last comment .

I'm very conscious that since i became a tour legend i am cancelling a lot of games if i am not scoring birdies .
Don't want to shoot my average up too high and give myself all that work bringing it back down .
Does mean that to saturate my amount of games needed will take longer .
Who am i kidding . Never going to make champion before end of year or probably never anyway.
Player on here called lonniescott who is a tour champion playing with starter balls the whole time .
Only one i know . My hero .

One more to add to your list. You would have found him eventually as he is an Aphrodite member, but I felt I should post it now as I feel a bit embarrassed I didn't spot him last time (main reason being I picked/checked just some of the players that I remember from Electra days).

Thanks for the award but all I`ve ever been doing is just trying to pay it forward . When I first started playing this game a lot of wonderful players helped me along the way . With both advice and friendship they were and still are a blessing to me . So I do what I can as best as I can . Its always a pleasure to do so . But sad to say that Im not a Tour Champion yet still a Champion for now
. Not sure if I will ever reach the last tier as I really dont play any more . I just hangout and hit balls now in practice setting . Just enough to keep the monkey off of my back to calm the addiction .

Pay it forward is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying the kindness to others instead of to the original benefactor. The concept is old, but the particular phrase may have been coined by Lily Hardy Hammond in her 1916 book In the Garden of Delight.

I am sure I wouldn't know about impunity Joe . But I am sure that you and your henchmen are quite versed in the practice . I am nothing like the lot of you .
Impunity : If doing something usually results in punishment, but you do it with impunity, you will not be punished for the deed.
IE: Above where you quoted me . Edited my words . Added words that changed the context and the intent . I am sure that is against the rules . But will anything become of it ? Of course not . Only if I were to do it .

I got to thinking about your question . And my answer . Whether you are looking for the full list or a list of " TRAILBLAZERS" .
Since I didn't have an alphabetical list of the " TRAILBLAZERS " . I needed to make one . For a couple reasons .
To get an accurate count .
And to delete a few duplicates . Easier this way .

The " TRAILBLAZER " list started out that way . But quickly stopped it . I save profiles of people I have some sort of interaction or exchange or so .
The " TRAILBLAZERS " don't really fit in that category . I only have a few of the " TRAILBLAZERS " profiles saved . I will go through it at some point and save the profiles . Which will automatically put them in alphabetical order .
On this page . There is the full updated list of mini " TRAILBLAZER " trophies . But they are not alphabetical .

I appreciate the appreciation .And despite what some may think . That I am seeking approval , notoriety , glory , praise for myself .
Never . This and all of the awards and accolades and lists .. Are all about the people in them . To honor and respect them . Only . As There are way more honors and achievements and people than I have lists for . Being lucky enough to have a website in which I could store an incredible amount of everything .
This became somewhat of a hobby . To sort , to create . Several groups of outstanding WGTers . And some of this not always all my idea . Like SidersBest thread .
Since long before I started all of this . As a WGT CC owner . I began recognizing all our members for just about any accomplishment one could think of .It was a lot of fun . For them and myself .
And then slowly over the years noticing various standout WGTers . Memorial Tournament organizers and assistants , humanitarians for their unending generosity . Post of the week for a particularly poignant remarks . 1st Posters to really welcome them and show acceptance . Which I didn't always see at first .
All to convey positivity and to recognition for achievements . Something WGT has never picked up on .
And I have seen a difference . Overall . Without a doubt . But I didn't know or even think that would happen . I never thought that far ahead .
It has always been about the moments and the individuals . For me . Surprising them . Or just making them happy for the award . When they didn't see it coming . That is all I need out of this . To encourage and respect and recognize someones due . Believe me . You can tell by their response(s) . And I can imagine a skip in their step .
So while some of you have always thought that I was begging for attention . I never was . I posted what I felt and left it at that .
Knowing that is how many felt anyways .
Knowing the people that were being recognized would know and appreciate my efforts .
These below are GR8 examples of why I do this . i am Inspired by GR8 WGTers like these " TRAILBLAZERS ".

Thanks for the recognition everyone, been a long time and a lot of cash spent on balls and clubs. Thanks for the pictures from another life Deena, I was a stud back then, don't know what happened, and Paul, I was much better in the ring than I am at this game, just saying.Nice to know there are a few who have been here longer. My how this game has changed over the years. Still the best fake golf game online. Thanks WGT.

What a surprise to see my name in a wgt forum.
Back in Feb. 2012 someone said to me ,there is a golf game i think you might like.
My reply was , i have never,ever played real golf ,why would i want to play an online golf game . Three months later i decided to take a look and as they say the rest is history.
i have always played this game for fun and along the way i have met some great people that i can truly say they are my friends and always will be.
So thank you very much for the acknowledgement and well done to every other player that has stayed the course for many years ,are we all insane lol .

I got really good early and then they bumped me up so fast I couldn't even hit some of the fairways.
The better you got the farther back they moved your t-box.
I also have only ever played on a Mac, hence the high score.
The game looks terrible on my 5K iMac but looks very good on my iPad Pro.

I am probably here under false pretensis.Although I signed up in 2009, back then probably only played half a dozen CTTH games. Had never even played a golf game before and had no idea.
Actually got serious in June 2011. Remember playing the VUSO qualifier at Congressional and best score was 127, Royal St Georges qualifier was worse about 144. Played pretty much everyday since then. Played real golf with several other members, chatted and made friends on skype etc
Fair to say I am not as keen these days, but involved with a sensational group of people in a wonderful country club and without that would be no longer here

Thank you for the award all. First I've ever gotten. Didn't know there were awards, didn't know what this was for either. Had to look up pdb1 to find out. Been a member since 11/6/2009, somewhere around there. WGT has been a great past time for me. Spent a few bucks here, but no complaints at all. Pretty good game for a game. I noticed a couple friends of mine here, Clairmoreblue and Woogster. Congrats fella's and Congrats to all. I think this is a pretty nice way to show recognition. Alrighty, hit em straight fella's and who knows, might see one of ya's out there on the course sometime. Take care and stay safe all.....mo

This "Trailblazer Award" is bitter-sweet. So much time has passed and I am still a Legend. Goes to show I am a slow learner...lol

Thank you for the recognition WGT although I actually joined in 2007 but due to a glitch you guys had with the original beta release I had to rejoin in 2009. If I remember correctly it had something to do with Facebook logins.
Anyways it has been a joy to play the game even if it has cost me thousands, back when I could afford to do so, over the years.
I have met some really great people in that time and more recently have met many more through playing in The world Cup with my club Brookline CC.
Most of the people mentioned here would have started playing on the PC version and hopefully due to this exercise WGT might realize that although mobile arcade type games might be the future it is your core support who has allowed you to grow and become one of the most if not the most popular golf game on the planet.
I am trying to come to grips with the PCEA version that has been released. But after almost 19 years it is proving to be very difficult too change what is basically imprinted on my memory when it come to the greens and winds which seem to play vastly different on the App as opposed to the old flash version.
I turn 64 today so in effect have played this game in my 40''s 50's and 60's
Isn't it time there was a seniors tour Ha Ha

Thanks for the Award and making me feel really OLD! After coming to this game from another one that was dying at the time ( Jack Nicklaus Series) GBC the Golden Bear Challenge, I really didn’t like it at first! But hands down one of the best online games out here now!

I found WGT by accident surfing the web in 2009 and got hooked.
Its a great game, with great players. I've enjoyed many hours of

Thanks for the WGT geezer trophy! For me it should come with an ' * '; I joined in March 2009, but found the game so difficult to play I stopped for a year, after a few frustrating rounds.
A year later I gave it another go, determined to learn what worked and what didn't , and (being a retired engineer) began taking data on different spins, carry & roll for all my clubs, wind influence, etc etc..
I also combed the forums for useful nuggets of info, and contributed my results to the discussion if it seemed that would help. Since then it's been 2 - 4 games a day for the last 10 years, rain or shine.

Thanks for sending the award. My join date was February 2009...but in fact, I had actually played WGT for some months before that starting in late 2008 - though I did not "sign up" right away......quite frankly, I wasn't sure what I had found.
There were only TWO CTTH games available when I joined - Kiawah (Front 9) and Bali Hai. No stroke play and no other courses. No Pro Shop. No choice of balls - EVERYONE played with the silly putty starter "free" ball that still exists today. Everyone played with the same set of starter clubs as well.
Like I said - I was not sure exactly what WGT was supposed to be - I thought it was a promotion for Kiawah Golf at first.
Finally...eventually Stroke Play was rolled out.....Front 9 of Kiawah ONLY - the Back 9 of Kiawah got Stroke Play some months later.
In the meantime, I played. I got good at it - though it was tough to control the ball because it performed the same as the starter ball still does today.
At some point Tiers came along - but at first there were only 4 Tiers - Hack, Amateur, Pro, and Master. Levels did not exist at all - I think those came around 2014? (my best guess).
We played it in that very basic state for about a year.....and then Bethpage Black landed - a CTTH (Front 9) came first and then Stroke Play on all 18 holes became available.
There were distinct problems SUCH AS on Bethpage Hole #5, the driver (which I think had a Max distance of 225) could not drive the basic starter ball far enough to reach the fairway! All of us were raising holy hell about it in the forums....Everyone was fed up with playing WGT because we always knew we would be in the short/right side fairway bunkers on the drive on Bethpage #5. There were other sorrows, too. On Bethpage #7 the green was not reachable in 2 shots either - the hole was simply longer than anyone's firepower with the basic clubs and ball.

After a week or 2 of this, WGT rolled out the Pro Shop - everyone could now get longer clubs and there were some ball choices as well - a small variety BUT the available items cured the problems I identified above.
Those early days were some unique times. LOL

Thank you, for the recognition, of being one of the few who began this journey some year's ago with tournaments sponoring St Jude Children Hospital. The game has come along way since then, to say the least.

Thanks for the trophy, Paul ! I remember starter balls, fast meters and 220yd drivers. The Kiawah greens didn't seem so screwy then. Somehow we managed to master what we had and shoot decent scores. Appreciate what you're doing.

Thank you for the recognition. It is truly appreciated. Tomorrow is my 73rd birthday and you have given me a memorable present.
I've often thought about the WGT Trailblazers, but had no idea you had done major research in this...I DO MEAN MAJOR!!!!!
I feel there is a select few of "Distinguished Gentlemen" that do some outstanding work regarding the early days of WGT. You, along with your very creative awards, are among the class acts of WGT.
So I toast your health. May we drink one together in ten years time, and a few in between.

I should check my wall more often! Thanks for the recognition! Been a player since June 2009. Took a few years off but am back strong since working from home became a thing. Had to relearn putting on the new WGT Launcher platform but I like the game more than ever and won't miss flash for a minute.

I got real kick out of your trophy. Thanks. You did monumental reseach to come up with your list. Great PROPS to you! As I recall, "back in the day", the Island Course was the only available track. Played the heck out of it. New courses came with new fun. I updated my driver and a added a 3 wood but I still play with the same crappy stock iron set. As with my real game, I'm on this drinking a beer (or 6) which affects my swing and judgement, but it's all about the fun. Take care...
